Ballers Opener Sold Out - What's the B's real measure of success?

The Oakland Ballers home opener is sold out. There will be over 4,000 people packing a newly renovated Raimondi Park in Oakland on Tuesday, but what happens next? After the dust settles on all the construction and paving and the creation of TWO brand new Pioneer League Baseball teams, what does the future hold for this baseball passion project?

Gonna be super honest here. It's not easy to get there via mass transit. I would absolutely love to attend more games, but realistically it's going to be the occasional weekend game where I have more time (eg. no work) to get there. will 100% watch them on TV if possible for the games I can't make it to!

I think they’d be wise to come out with an actual season ticket package. I bought a 12 pack which was the most you could buy and at about $20 a game for bleacher seats it’s a little steep. I’d gladly commit to an entire season if they came out with a full season package at a reasonable price.

What I dont understand is how did they gain rights to set this up at a "public" park ? Charge people for attendance and have security I never heard of this.

@@CourtroomAnticsTV the baseball side of the park was dilapidated before, not being used by anybody except homeless, I’m sure they are paying rent to the city or whoever owns the land to bring an awesome product to West Oakland. They have all the proper use and building permits.

Hey Casey not sure if you are aware of this video, there is a guy (The Touchback) claiming that the Ballers is all for show. With no sources except from some YT channel named ‘Indy Ball Nation’ that they are doing this for a TV documentary.

They are filming all of this for a documentary. Why wouldn’t they document their journey? I can say that I’ve spent a lot of time with both of their founders. They are coming from a very genuine place. Guessing The Touchback and Indy Ball Nation have spent exactly zero time talking to the people involved with the team.

So Oakland is named for tree, right? A fairly large one at that. Here is the irony. The A's are a dead tree, metaphorically speaking. They've been starved of everything from money, to facilities, to competitive talent, to any common sense in ownership or management since the late '80s. The A's decided to clearcut themselves and move on to drier pastures. So now we have a dead and almost gone tree in Oakland, but there are shoots coming out of the stump that is Oakland baseball that now have the benefit of that ginormous root system that the A's built over almost 60 years and now, in their ignorance, leave behind...Trolls can heckle, they chortle, yell inanities like "Minor league Oakland", as if anybody in Oakland had ever wronged them. But the biggest part of any tree is the part that you can't see. What I can see - if I take out my crystal ball - is a newer, heathier, and more organic professional baseball league sprouting in and around the Ballers. California-based and California defiant, an ex-MLB professional baseball product that restores the sport to its essence, based on egalitarian ownership, situs, and team rules...Oakland, I honestly think you get to witness - and instigate - this restoration...Go Ballers!...
