@ikszorn Anthiel wrote several versions of this piece. The original 1924 version was written for 16 synchronized player pianos, percussion ensemble and 3 airplane propellers. I think he wrote this version in 1953, and I'm pretty sure is the most often performed version.

Ballet Mécanique fue un proyecto del compositor americano George Antheil y el pintor cubista Fernand Léger que por misteriosas razones no pudo proyectarse con su banda sonora original hasta 1990. Reconocida como una de las obras claves del cine de vanguardia, la película fue un homenaje que Léger quiso rendir al cineasta Charles Chaplin.
