I wear ballet pink or black tights 95% of the time but lately when I practice at home I’ve been drawn to bright and pastel tights just to jazz things up a bit. I’ve never ever done this before so I guess it’s just a fun, colorful stage I’m currently in. 😊

As a photographer I think wearing the tights over the leotard adds symmetry and makes the legs look longer. Insightful video! Had me subscribe to your channel as it’s great advice for photoshoots and for others in the dance industry.

Now I’ve returned to adult ballet class after a break of many years, it’s definitely black tights for me. I had to wear pink ballet tights as a teenager when I had much thinner more shapely legs! Great video Jasmine.

What is your opinion on guys who want to get into ballet ? And what if guys like wearing the female ballet tights instead of the male ballet tights because the female ballet tights in my opinion are a lot softer and i like the multiple colors they have other than white and black like Toast Tights, Caramel Tights, & Coffee Tights.

Usually boys should wear tights made for boys! They have a different anatomy and the male tights are made for better coverage and support :)

Leotards should always be worn atop tights. Allowing your cotton gusset to be visible is tacky. I don’t care what the teacher says.
