Please don't apologise for following your gut with these things. I'm a registered nurse and I always thank my patients for coming to the hospital when they just don't feel right because you are your body's own expert and if something doesn't feel right it could really make a difference to just get checked by a professional. And blood clots truly are no joke. I hope you feel better!

tzbell06 okay can I ask you something? This made me realize I could possibly have a blood clot in my arm. I got the nexplanon implant about a month ago and now it’s super painful to stretch my arm out all the way and it hurts to the touch. I thought I pulled something but the pain lines up with exactly where the implant is?
@tzbell065 жыл бұрын
@@fungirl1121 I'm not a doctor so I am not qualified to give you a diagnosis, but some common signs of blood clots are pain, warmth, or swelling of the extremity. Many blood clots manifest in different ways or may not have any major symptoms. I think it's smart to get your arm checked out by your doctor if your symptoms persistent and you feel like something is off.

I had cramp in my leg once, that just started randomly when I was eating dinner. My doctor ran blood tests and discovered I had a vitamin D deficiency - however it was caused by another condition I have. Might be worth asking for some blood tests if they weren't already done. Hope you find out what it is soon

I had a dvt when i was like 32, they are nothing to mess around with. I am so glad you are ok. We just flew to NZ and made sure to get up and walk, stretch, flex our feet, ankles and legs every couple of hours. My family is prone to having them so traveling can be a concern. But we don't let it stop us, we wear compression stockings as well.

Last week Sunday I had some weird abdominal pain and put off going to the doctor all day because I just assumed it was something not at all severe. Eventually my mom decided enough was enough and took me to the doctor at like 7pm who referred me to a hospital. By 9pm I was booked in and on Monday I had emergency surgery to remove my appendix which was very close to rupturing. SUPER SCARY! I'm in bed recovering as I type this. Never hesitate going to the doctor if you feel something is wrong, I actually saved my life by driving 15 minutes to a doctor. Thanks for putting out so much content for me to enjoy as I recover. Love you !

Jessica, I had what’s called a “bi-lateral pulmonary embolism” from a birth control pill I was taking. That means both sides of my lungs were closed, and I had a DVT (blood clot in my leg). I didn’t have any severe symptoms either - I had what felt like a severe Charlie horse in my thigh (almost always a DVT Guys - be aware), and then around noon the following day I had a weird heart palpitation and thought I was just having a panic attack because my leg was still hurting. I’m so glad I went to the hospital - I’m Canadian so it was free - but please if you can always get those things checked out. About 33% of people with bilateral pulmonary embolism die. I’m still afraid any time I get a muscle cramp.

Aw I loved this video! It's brought back one of the most special memories I have. Cape May was my late grandad's favourite restaurant because, like you Jessica, he loved crab. It was during the last holiday we went on together ca. 9-10 years ago and I distinctly remember us both trying taffy for the first time after that meal. Seeing you guys explore the area too and the kids enjoying themselves there just lit up something in me and I felt like I was there with my own family all over again. Thank you so much for that ❤️

Cape May is good. Next time you should visit Beaches and Cream. Get the Kitchen Sink! I used to live in Orlando and work at Disney and Universal. I always told people new to FL “It doesn’t matter if it’s a lake, swamp, or run off pond, assume there is an alligator near by.” It’s just safer that way.

We are heading back to Beach Club this summer and are very excited! It’s the best Disney resort in my opinion. As for alligators, Florida is absolutely littered with them - I was told that the rule of thumb is that if there’s a body of water, there’s going to be an alligator in it. They tend to be active at night rather than during the day which is why they aren’t always visible.

Hey Biomedical Scientist here, i was just thinking the same, about DVTs as you guys travel pretty much nonstop where you do a lot of plane and train and car transfers, although the Europe one you walked a lot which was great and compensated for the times you were in trains and cars which weren't a lot. Thank you for mentioning this, and don't be silly Jessica! you're not being dramatic, this may be a life or death situation and you're doing the right thing, and informing some as I presume probably most people don't know of what can happen or what simple sitting or laying down immobile for hours and hours in a car, train, aeroplane seat and so on can do to your body eventually. If you travel a lot make sure to stop by go to the toilet to pee or you know no.2 or just stop at a place if you're doing a long commute in a car or vacation where you can stop and walk around or walk around for a bit in the cabin if on an aeroplane if you're not landing or taking off of course, this is so the blood doesn't pool in your legs and 1. you feel nauseous and faint and 2. most importantly blood clots don't form which can break off and go into your lungs or brain and cause an embolism or stroke which as you may know can be fatal or leave you disabled for the rest of your life. Thank you Jessica to inform others about this. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

But if you ever have a chance to visit the Efteling. You should definitely do it.
