sorry it was way too basic didnt show close up of the parts as a first time gun builder who worked on assembly lines of chrysler and deere . the attaching of a barrel and hand guard is the hardest part/ biggest mystery.

You don't need validation from me, but your barrels are the best. I have 2 AR's and although the barrels they came with were brand new and decent quality, I switched them both out for Ballistic Advantage barrels. I did this, because my friend let me shoot his AR with one of your barrels and it was very accurate. I am getting ready to purchase another rifle and I am saving up for the 16 inch Hanson, as I hear its an amazing barrel. Also, thank you for making these instructional videos, you always provide great information. Take Care!

Thanks Clint, I just received one of your barrels today and plan to install it tonight. Will use your method over the "tighten barrel nut 3x" method, after all if the guys who make the damn barrel don't do that why should I! First time build and there is a lot of conflicting info out in youtube land

I think that shit was started by someone with ocd and convinced everyone else to do it. Do you do that shit on your car? Lugnuts? Any other parts? Ive never seen it done anywhere else. People say its to spread the threads or some bullshit? You want them tight so it doesnt just come off.

Just purchased a 18in Hanson barrel with mid length gas system for my Palmetto State Armory rifle. The barrel that they use from the factory is not the best and is shooting roughly 1 and 1/2 in Moa. I'm excited to get the new Barrel in and installed. Thank you for giving me a quick Barrel install video so I can properly install it myself. I am one of those guys who hates to pay someone else for something that I can do. Thank you again for the install video. I am looking forward to sub MOA accuracy with match Grade ammo. I think my factory ammo is much better than match Grade ammo so I'm really excited to see how well it does. I will post a video once it is all installed and at the range. Thanks again for promising a quality Pearl.

I’m a Veteran out of Army 30+ years and in all my builds I’m always reluctant to do my barrels because of the dangers in not doing it right,what’s your feeling in diy doing their own barrels because of the dangers,should they or not?
@terrylynne82084 жыл бұрын
Augustine Sullivan --Easy, just follow his lead,one thing he didn’t address is the barrel pin to receiver slot fit. If there is any side to side clearance that should be remedied first. Call a Brownell’s Tech guy and ask how to make sure it’s centered. There also a type of Loctite type product that should /can be used to make sure of a perfect diameter barrel to align fitment.
@dylconnaway99764 жыл бұрын
Confused for the 1st time ever about the crush washer. Beveled or ‘cupped’ side goes towards the muzzle device, flat side towards the barrel is what I’ve always heard and seen, including BA barrels on Aero assembled uppers I’ve bought. Brownells and Midway also say bevel towards the muzzle device? Was that a mis-statement or...? I couldn’t quite tell which way it was facing on the vid.

So I just got my barrel in and had the reciever lapped. Excited to try it out tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Kinda worried because Johnnys Reloading bench just did a series on your ar10 barrel in 308 18" and it was NOT good. Might want to hit him up and talk about a replacement...

I just purchased a 16” BA Hanson .625 to go with my Aero Precision builders set, but I have several install questions. First what kind of grease or lube should I use for the barrel to the reciever and the barrel nut to the reciever. It so confusing, because all of the different opinions. Second do you measure headspace with Failzero bcg, or should I buy a set and double check? What lube is recommended on the muzzle device and buffer tube / castle nut?

You put the oil on the extension and the threads, what would you recommend as the best for each application? Or do you just recommend regular Hoppe's?

Newb question. I'm building a 300blk sbr and will want to shoot sub and super out of it. Should I get an adjustable gas block? I planned on just getting the lo pro that you all suggest on your site and using a standard carbine buffer. Didn't know what you all recommended when using sub and super loads.

Could over torquing your barrel effect accuracy?
@l800x84 жыл бұрын
I don't recall where I saw it, but somewhere on the interwebs a fellow tested his AR with different barrel nut torques. He went from 30 to 80 ft/lbs and had his best accuracy at 50 ft/lbs. Something like that. Of course, every rifle might be different. I would think it depends on how the parts and pieces mesh.
@sandymitchell81823 жыл бұрын
maybe the Hanson barrel is named after him

Can anyone who has done this comment: I'll be installing a 7" free floating handguard (specifically Aero Precision Atlas R-One) onto a BA 11.5" barrel with FSB. In order to do that, do I have to remove the pinned FSB, mount the barrel, then the handguard, and finally the gas tube and FSB last?
