I think we should have an episode where Sarah answers all the questions and Clint is the one asking them 😁

There was an episode where Sarah introduced herself as Clint and Clint as Sarah a while back. I thought the same thing. Sit Clint in a chair and Sarah standing on a box, even; to make it visually accurate. More so, if Clint would act bubbly x10 and Sarah, quiet and stoic but I don't think either of them could pull that off. ;)

Clint, in regards to mounting/fixing a gas block to the barrel, what is preferable? A clamp on style, or set screw style? Assuming there is not the bomb proof pin option available.

Happy Friday Eve y'all! Yes Sarah, almost Thanksgiving! Ready for that turkey and pumpkin pie! QUESTION: Gas tube....stainless steel or nitride and why? I normally just purchase whatever is cheapest, but what's your thoughts?

I want to build a 300 blackout but want to run supers only what would be the advantage of running a slower twist like 1 in 11 or 1in 10 twist rate and any plans on building a 300 blackout where they slower twist rate for supers only

Question. Is it possible to build a pencil profile 6.5 Grendel barrel? I have a Hanson profile 12.5 inch barrel on my short range hunting rifle. Now I'm looking to build an equally light long range 6.5 Grendel. Thanks for your time and you two keep up the good work.

Is a bleed off gas block as beneficial on a suppressed 300 blackout gun as it is on a suppressed 5.56 gun? Shorter barrels in particular.
@chrissewell16085 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! & even more on a shorter barrel. It allows your gun to cycle properly with the suppressor on or off, without being OVER GASSED. Now as Clint just stated...you have to adjust the port, every time you switch back and forth. But, that is what it is made to do! (Like: Suppressed: 4 clicks left. Un-Suppressed: 4 clicks right)

I want to build a AR in 6.5 Creedmoor using your 14.1 inch barrel. What gas block would you use, a fixed or adjustable? And would you recommend a carbine or rifle buffer system? My plans are to not shoot this suppressed. I am wanting a lighter weight shot hunting rifle.

Regarding last week's video about the new QPQ Stainless barrels. Other than adding a sleek black appearance, does the QPQ on 416R stainless improve the barrel life significantly? Very interested as I love the accuracy potential of your premium line, but keep swinging back to the barrel life of the performance line.

Will BA please consider making a modern or performance series 300 blackout barrel at 13.7?
@tacitus_kilgore76855 жыл бұрын
Almost done with my first ever build and put a BA 16" mid length Perf. Series barrel on it. My plan was to just go have fun and shoot through it and keep it clean but have this nagging in the back of my mind because I want this thing to last- What's your take on 'barrel break-in' for my BA barrel? I've binged thru most of your vids and didn't catch where you might have already mentioned anything about it. Thanks!
@V6MERC5 жыл бұрын
First of all I'm not Mr Hanson, but I did just purchase that same barrel for my latest project. There's a guide on the Ballistic Advantage website to help you through the process of breaking in your barrel. I'm followed it to a "T" and my barrel shoots sub MOA groups with my handloads. Enjoy!

What muzzle device would you put on a Hanson 10.3” 300 blackout (not suppressed). Muzzle brake or flash hider? I live in the People’s Republic of Illinois, so no suppressors but I love the caliber.

Woodrow Call plinking and self defense
@woodrowcall31585 жыл бұрын
Illini Armory If you even expect to shoot inside of the house, don’t go with a brake or comp. In terms of comps (linear) the Troy claymore is tolerable indoors (if you are behind it) but be ready to be blinded by the flash. The standard flash hider or something fancy like a YHM phantom would be very practical for basic defense and plinking. I personally love the Griffin minimalist stealth flash hider, but it’s a taper mount for their suppressors and a bit pricy.

Question for Clint: What kind of round count could someone expect to see out of each barrel material/coating? 416R, Melonited 416R, and Melonited 4150cmv? Assuming it's used for a moderate firing schedule

Yoyoyoyo my dude I need to ask u can we meaning u make a barrel that can shoot different weight bullets that shoot sub moa if u no what I mean ...is it possible ...that a barrel can shoot all weighted bullets...by the way I got or ba government '16 556 barrel love it bro keep up the good work
@chrissewell16085 жыл бұрын
(In a given caliber) Any barrel can shoot any weight bullets, and be accurate. Just at different distances. Ie: A 110 grain bullet may be, bullseye, on target at 110 yards. But the heavier, 220 grain is only on target at 85 yards.
@dannybens36415 жыл бұрын
I was asking if there's a way to make a barrel to shoot all bullet weight accurate at any distance
