This is perfect timing for me. I am setting up my first arch and column decor this evening and have been watching your videos for the past two weeks. Hi Sandi. I just want to start off by thanking you for this video. I'm needing to make one of these for our baby shower coming up. I'm however not wanting it as big, however, im not wanting it as small as your other 1 person arch video. Im hoping to stick to around 120 balloons or so. Do you think I can achieve that by cutting the three PVC pipes to like 4 or 5 ft instead of your 8? Thanks so much
@SandiMasoriPresents5 жыл бұрын
If you want a small one person arch, I would use the other style. You could do 2 columns with the emt and base plate and then use PEX or a hula hoop for the curved part at the top :~)

Hi, great details. I listened and followed exactly what you said, the arch was beautiful. However, it was a windy day. How do I prevent the arch from falling over on a windy day outside?

This might be a silly question, but is it possible to make one lower say, 5 or 5.50 foot tall or even a bit lower? What size pipes would I use for that? I need it for a wedding decoration project, and I want the flowers to be right above the newlyweds, who would be seated. Thank you!.
@SandiMasoriPresents5 жыл бұрын
sure you can make it any size you want. Just remember to use an odd number of poles. :~) So a 15' arch would be 3 5' pieces :~)

Hi Sandi, if you had purchased the correct PVC Schedule 40 -3/4 inch. You said it would slide over the EMT, but would it slide down to over the 3/4 threaded pipe? Just curious making some outdoor 8ft topiary poles trying to keep the base plate simple and clean at the bottom because there will be no topiary at the bottom only the top of the pole. Any other suggestions for ground poles would be nice. Thanks
@SandiMasoriPresents6 жыл бұрын
It wouldn't slide over the threaded pipe, only the emt. To hide the threaded pipe, either bring the arch all the way down, or use linens to wrap around and hide it. If you're not using a baseplate though, you can just drive the emt into the ground, or use rebar driven into the ground.

The most important thing is that the balloons are all sized correctly. If that's not the issue, then it could be that you're packing the quads too loosely or too tight. From certain angles, you might see the pole no matter what, which is why I usually cover my frames with black duck tape :~)

Can you please give me a list of items you used thank you
Hi I'm a new subscriber I love all your videos! I have a question about how long does it take to fill this arch with balloons? And how much time in advance can I make it?
@SandiMasoriPresents5 жыл бұрын
Thanks!! Well, how long it takes depends on you~ it's different for everyone, so it's difficult to answer that question. You can inflate the balloons a couple days in advance as long as they're air-filled. :~)

love your tutorial, I have the hardest time finding bendable pvc for the middle
@SandiMasoriPresents7 жыл бұрын
You should be able to get it from any hardware store. It's in the electrical section I think, and is the grey schedule 40 pvc. :~)
@Sharonc0127 жыл бұрын
Sandi Masori Balloons I brought 2 scheduled 40 and the top piece will not bend
@SandiMasoriPresents7 жыл бұрын
Ahhh.... that's the problem, you need 3 pieces. Like I described in the video, you want the stress to be on the side, not the top. The top piece will bend gently, which is what you want. :~)

maybe because it was 6ft and not 8

what type of tubing and how many would I need to make a 2 person arch
@SandiMasoriPresents7 жыл бұрын
For a smaller arch you might want to use 2 columns and a hula hoop or PEX for the top :~) Like this... kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZWbioyte66bbac

Hi Sandi I have asked you some questions before regarding the PVC poles and you have answered them I know this is a year later but I hope you can help me again. I have 2 10ft PVC poles but could I cut them into four pieces and use them with connectors to make my balloon arch frame . I have used the 2 poles together before to do two balloon arches but I was wondering if I cut them in four pieces would they still uphold my balloons when I do my arches and it would be easier for me to carry around. Thanks. Keep up the good work.😄

In general you always want to use odd number so poles, not even. That way the stress is not pulling at the connection in the center. Also, use the grey plumbing pvc with the bells instead of the white with connectors :~)

Hi what are bells?,,,,,,,,,,

Where in England can I get the arch from?
@SandiMasoriPresents6 жыл бұрын
The materials? Anywhere that they sell home improvement supplies. In the states it would be Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc. I'm not sure about where in the UK. :~)

So I might be able to do a quarter arch with a tent pole if I can weight my columns technically
@SandiMasoriPresents6 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, I've never used a tent pole. Check out my video on the champaigne demi arch to see how I do it :~)

Hi, I wish you would have lift below what all you used to make this arch:( I had to watch it twice just to see what all you used and the size lol yes I'm slow I don't catch on easily 🤯🤦♀️🤷♀️🤯🤣🤣🤣 I love everything you do it's all so amazing. 💞

Sorry, I'll try to remember that, but usually I'm uploading the videos in batches and trying to go fast lol. The full written recipes are available in my books that you can get on Amazon though. :-)

I used this method once and didn't tape the connection points.. they were very tight (so they seemed). I was almost done and then the pressure from the balloons split the connectors! Thank goodness the client wasn't around to witness the fiasco!
@SandiMasoriPresents7 жыл бұрын
yeah, always best to tape connections, just in case ;~)

Gosh! You're the best!! I have a couple of questions for you, but first let me say, I wish I would've seen this awesome video before I bought the Aero System :(...The EMT pole that you mention, is it the same as a conduit pole and can you buy it with the thread already on it or do you have to ask the store to do that for you? Thank you in advance. :)
@Volunteerballoons7 жыл бұрын
Don't diss your Aeropole system... This method is effective & inexpensive but the Aeropole is worth every penny!

Okay, thank you..:)

I love my aeropoles. Even though I can make my own frames, if I'm only making one or two arches, the aeropole is my first go to because it's easy to transport and simple to assemble. :~)
@SandiMasoriPresents7 жыл бұрын
Yes, I believe that conduit and EMT are the same thing. You can get it already threaded, but I've found it easier to get the threaded pipe and the emt separately. But, that's just me ;~)
