I love jazz, but I love exposing little children to it. One of my little friends loses himself when I play Wynton for him. First, his head starts to move and before I know his whole body is moving in syncopation to the music. His parents have gotten him his own collection of Wynton's music. A win win for me because not only is a student digging it but his parents too.

Lovely. Your part and the flute were great (the flutist must have some African American blood drops in his veins, no doubt). I have always loved the way the trumpet sounds with a mute. Playing the Saxophone this fast seems really challenging. That pianoforte always sounds solid. The piano part reminds me a little of Pierre Boulez’s music. Eloquent and original suite. Yes, it is what our world needs, true democracy, we’ll get there sooner or later. By the way, Is there anything more democratic than music?.. Anybody can make it, you don’t even need an instrument to do so, it’s always in our hearts. Music unites us all, it's a universal language, and you can literally express anything you want with it, no matter where you are... Thanks, Maestro Marsalis for influencing people positively with your music. You’re all great, guys. Bravi!!!
