Have you ever thought about laying down a black base with a gel eyeliner before you go in with the black shadow? I find it really helps with intensity and minimizes the patchy appearance that can happen with super dark shadows.

@@rickiet.beauty No problem. 😊 Fair warning, though-- with gel eyeliner it's going to take some effort to remove. On the upside, this means it's also not going anywhere, no matter how much you sweat during a comp. (I can attest to this.) Another alternative would be to put down the base with an eye pencil like the NYX jumbo eye pencils. Just as effective. It's a beautiful look though, and I love how you used the pinks/reds. I may steal that one for myself since my gown is red and black.

I would choose different lipstick than red, maybe a darker shade of red, but overall this makeup look is super gorgeous, especially on you.

Hi Rickie. I'm just a pro/am-er so what do I know, but here are my two cents on this. If you have that and 5 bucks you might get a cup of coffee🙂. Every face is different (obviously) but there seems that there are a few categories of eye shapes and eye placements in the face that lends itself to different makeup shapes. I'm trying to educate myself on hair and makeup as I want to be doing them myself. They do cost. What I have figured out, this far, is that I have a small face and deep set eyes. If I do a smokey eye, and I have, even my husband lets me know that I look ridiculous. Yeah, I noticed it too. With just a little more powder on my face I would be all set for halloween. Goast face. I think that a very light near the nose and then darker the further out I go might work but I haven't figured out how to. Would you mind put something like that together in a tutorial, please. Rachel Halversen I use the ‘DUO’ brand eyelash glue! You can find it at almost any drugstore 😁
