I thought this was just excellent. Well done. While your explanation was terrific; can I ask this question. As a general rule _ is the foot you step sideways with in step 2 the foot you leave lightly off the ground in step3 and that's the same foot you are ready to use next?

Thank you! Leader's footwork for the waltz box step: Left foot forward, right foot side, then close the feet left to right. Right foot back, left foot side, then close the feet right to left and begin again. Hope this helps :)
