Ballroom Mastery TV Hi, thanks for all your advice. I’m an advanced Silver level Latin dancer. And was wondering if you could talk a little bit about overcoming stage fright.. It’s a huge problem for me during competition. It’s overwhelming and I can’t seem to overcome it. I’ll do great during practice but get so nervous during comp that I forget choreographed steps, completely loose my body awareness and have even frozen on the dance floor. It’s bad.... please help

Warriors🎗Mom for sure I can make more training on this very problem. We launched a series of videos this morning talking about performance. Look for the Playlist: Coaches Corner and see how they do as a starting point. I would recommend revising how you practice as “nerves kicking in” is actually adrenaline and cortisol (bad mixture) which create negative stress which is why you get a cloud of fog or forget things. You must level up your practice to overcome this but not the way you may think. Let me know how it goes!

Excellent tutorial. I’ve studied ballroom dance for more than 30 years, but after two spine surgeries in five years I’ve struggled with regaining proper posture. Proper posture is crucial to not only ballroom dance, but for spine health. Wow. Thank you.

latain dance rely on Cuban motion for which engaging core is vital. very good mastery lesson . Need to digest with my coach.
