EASTENDERS WAS AMAZING TONIGHT. MAX BOWDEN WAS AMAZING AND AS A PERSON WHO HAS A DISABILITY, I THINK HE DID A FANTASTIC JOB. Having any type of disability is hard enough. So, I think that it is important for shows like Eastenders, emmerdale etc when they have a storyline like this to do them correctly and I think Eastenders are showing what it is like to be deaf so well and even if your not deaf then they are showing what it is like to live with a disability.

Ben does not know what's going on with Lola and that guy. It could have been innocent or it could have been more but he doesn't know and because he doesn't know, he should not assume the worst or get in the middle of it. Stay out of it and let Jay and Lola handle their own relationship. Ben has more than enough to deal with in his personal life and does not need to take on Jay and Lola's problems, if there is one.

It's being told from Ben's perspective so the sound is distorted as if the viewer has Ben's hearing. We're hearing what he's meant to be hearing.

@dr103 the only reason this storyline is happening at all is so it can cause tension between ben and callum, I really believe that they are just using it to show that one is good while the other is bad, I honestly doesn't even fit with callums character at all. He is gentle and kind, the sort of character to give second chances and see the best in people

I am aware that police officers can be nice people, but Callums character could be so much more, part of his charm is that he doesn't need to be something in order to prove his goodness. It just comes naturally

The man was just in a traumatic accident that permanently disabled him and killed his brother. He then spent the next few days not even knowing if the man he loved was even alive. You’d have to be a psychopath to think this is a anywhere near a “pity party”.
