Nice resto! As a 70’s kid, Eight Ball is my favorite pinball of all time. Hope to own one some day soon.

That's what it's all about. A way back machine to a simpler time. =)

Beautiful. The spinner shot on Eight Ball is maybe the best in pinball. I can get 40+ revolutions on mine with the right rip.

Just finished an Eight Ball Deluxe 1984 Bally Midway version which was the last of the 3 versions. It is really close to the form factor of the 1st and most desirable version. Video of it coming soon to this channel! =)

@@pinballdoctor Nice! I am in Alaska so choices are limited on what is available. I take whatever I find instead of searching for specific titles. Look forward to the next video!

Looks mint!. Such a brutal game, but very rewarding once you eventually get the upper hand.

Yes very true! Thinking of selling my last copy of this game to make room for another game I have my sights on. This time a Classic Williams.

i had this game growing up. although it was a bit different. there were no lights in the lower 1-2-3-4 player area. the holes were there but the back was solid so there was no way for the lamp to go through. also the player scores only lit if there was a player. for example if there were 2 players, the 1 and 2 scores were lit but the 3 and 4 scores were dark

I have one of these, everything works pretty well, had a new rectifier board put in but I'd really like to get it looking like that How much would it cost if I shipped it to you to do it?

Can you put links to the chime box etc... So fellow pins can improve our game too? Do you know if CPR still does this playfield?
@pinballdoctor6 жыл бұрын
You can get the parts to rebuild the chime box from The Pinball Resource. You need 2 of each of these for each chime bar in your Bally game: Eyelet M122-24, BLY-R111-39

This was the first SS machine that appeared in our local bowling alley. I don't remember it playing as fast as this one. the best way to score was with the spinner when lit. you could rack up 35-40000 with a perfect shot through the spinner. I think it awarded the first free game at either 160000 or 180000.

Funny you as well first played this in a bowling alley. This too is where I first played this title. When it first went on location in the late 70's in our local bowling alley Framingham Bowlarama. The lineup there was Eight Ball, Fathom, Memory Lane, Card Whiz, Top Score, Embryon, Joker Poker

Gorgeous. Chime box sounds a little dead.
@pinballdoctor7 жыл бұрын
A little dead? That's the best these can be on this game. Some of the chimes get hit really quick so I can see why you'd think "dead" but they aren't. Don't you hear the after ring? New grommets and tightened just right. Not too much and not too little. Look at the Power Play I did for further reference.

Maybe put a BR on them;)

Yeah there’s an issue when game starts it doesn’t do the song and yeah they seem weaker
@RodsPinballVideos3 жыл бұрын
@@robfassi3297 The tune at the start is a dip switch setting on the main board. You can either have it play full tune or just a single note like he had this one set.
