That was a revolutionary pinball machine for 1972.

I like the pauses with explanations. I haven't played this machine in decades. I didn't know all the rules, but sure loved that twirly thing in the middle that added an element of unpredictability. Nice playing, bro!

for such a simple table, it is pretty cool, i love the whirlwind spinner in the centre, and the seperste ball locks are pretty awesome, tho those side drains are pretty unforgiving!

Back in the '70s our favorite local beer bar had the fireball game. We'd work up a sweat when all three balls were in motion. It was SOOOOOOO fun. A couple beers and a little reefer. Sadly, we went in one day and it had been replaced by one I think called TimeZone. Fun, but not nearly so much fun as fireball. Later I was in Asuza and a friend took me to his favorite bar. When I came in the door, there it was, a Fireball game. Heard Hefner bought them all for the Playboy Mansion.

Another reason not to like Hefner.

Playboy didn't call this the best pinball machine for no reason. Whoever is playing the game here is quite impressive. Hitting all the major shots in under 3 minutes is nice work.

Messenger ball was the "boop ball' to us. I had a vision one night (14 yrs old) that lifting the game by hand, if done carefully so no tilt, could accomplish boop ball scores. Couldn't wait to go try it. It worked! Was able to arm Special (or maybe just Extra Ball) that way, by doing it a few times. Kinda ruined the challenge.
@scottbiggs88943 жыл бұрын
The tilt must have been turned off. Lifting the machine, even slowly will engage the tilt mechanism. I've seen this before--store owners simply disengaged the tilt because it was too tricky to adjust.
@ViralTuber3 жыл бұрын
@@scottbiggs8894 Tilt was on. My trick _would_ partial or full tilt the machine if it was not executed correctly and with care.

Once pong started replacing pinball machines, it was downhill from there. It was never the same.

@@jimdep6542 Maybe, but pinball was still played a lot during the 80s and even the 90s

yeah, I know. My favorite places to play started getting rid of my favorite EM machines and started replacing them with Pong and other prehistoric video games. I wasn't happy. Of course they got in some new SS pinball machines, but now there were a lot more video game machines instead of just about all pinball machines. Then the SS pinball machines were now costing more to play and only 3 balls a game instead of 5 ( within a few years) .....so no......I wasn't happy. @@Mr_x_19922
