Thank you for covering Balmain - your video brings so many memories of living and working there 1999-2001. My first job after university was in Balmain. A dear old lady took pity of me and hired me for her publishing house. I had been looking for work for 6 months and was very grateful for the opportunity. I remember we always had a staff lunch every Friday, someone would volunteer to cook, then we'd get the lemon cake covered in syrup from the bakery nearby. Everyone was kind and life was very simple back then. It all feels like it's only yesterday...

From Tim's video and your words, my heart is also wanting to visit Balmain😊, but not easy to quit job. Another thing that a middle class can only wish. Not every wish is fulfilled. isn,t it

BALMAIN IS NICE AND SMALL SUBURB. I LIVED THERE FOR A WEEK WHEN I LANDED IN SYDNEY FOR THE FORST TIME BACK IN 2009.

Hi Tim, thank you for this brilliantly made narrated video production of Balmain, Leichhardt and the surrounding areas. I myself really love visiting Balmain too, with all its amazing cafes, restaurants, markets, urban village culture and all the history that goes with it. Those croissants you were eating looked absolutely delicious. PS Thank you for the shout out. Very much appreciated. 👍👍👍

Thank YOU for the kind words, and of course for being so generous with the footage! I hope all of this is over soon and we can all go travelling again! Perhaps we could catch up for croissants in Balmain!

I can't wait to travel again too. Been going through massive withdraws this year. Next time I visit Sydney, I will defiantly contact you and hopefully we can catch up for a croissant and a good cup of coffee in Balmain. ☕️
