The sunsets are intense, the waves incredible and the beaches immense... or at least that’s how it always seems to be as I scroll through the Instagram accounts of some of the men that we cast for our runway shows. Although I may be working late into the night on yet another weekend, at least I can escape for a few minutes via these captured moments of friends, adventures, sports and joy.
Those small cubed images were the starting point for this collection. The many beach shots helped create a digital mood board of exotic playas, praias and pantai, where friends chill after a day filled with sun, surf and swim, hoping that the night never ends-but at the same time looking forward to one more beautiful sunrise.
Designs channel the athletic, masculine and confident style that unifies this diverse tribe. The cut is easy and relaxed, with ponchos, capes, bombers and long-line sweaters playing slouchy games of proportion with joggers and voluminous trousers. What’s new for Balmain is the strong injection of color-reflecting the intense shades of the sea, sky and sand, as well as the infectious optimism of this band of revelers as they await the new day.

I appreciate Balmain's tendency to accessorize. The garments looked so dreamy to wear. Balmain really took into account that men love comfort-ability and that they are typically hesitant to anything otherwise.Bravo.

I love the collection! If I was Rothschild rich, I would buy every male look...there are many looks I would wear and feel comfortable. The colors, designs, cuts. Orange-Blue-Black has always been my fav color combine

Really Love the all black out fit (Pancho) the model with the buzz cut and beard was wearing. My favorite of all the collection. The way the gold necklace went with the outfit made it even more amazing ! Loved it x

Olivier est un très bon directeur artistique. Ses créations sont des chefs d'œuvre, d'une beauté absurde, avec plein de détails sublimes qui me font briller les yeux et qui me coupent le souffle! Ceci dit je pense qu'il devrait arrêter de s'inspirer sur les Kardashian et innover un peu plus. Je veux dire, sortir de sa zone de confort, à chaque nouvelle collection j'ai l'impression qu'il change juste les couleurs et les matières, les coupes restent les mêmes la plupart du temps et c'est dommage!

Not really into capes, metallics, pinks, purples, and froo-froo -- would be called the F-word if I wore such. The female models are very distracting. Everything else seems nice -- and wearable on the street. What happened to the summer wear -- I kept looking but didn't really see it. I'm the average guy who you are trying to get to spend his money.
