That's THEE opening dress. This is the best piece for opening spring-summer fashion shows so far. 0:49 Is it just me or the printed details on the dress looks like Kylie? I'm glad Balmain moved out from Balenciaga's shadows with this collection. This is pure art! This is how you should compliment different fabrics to each other. Top-tier! I love the accents of the pointed edges of the shoulders and dresses. Overall, this collection is so pretty!

The shoulder silhouette was 100% and overall there were some very good pieces. There was obviously something wrong with the footwear, especially with the outfits where the pants were connected to the shoes because the models could barely walk in them and I don’t think it had anything to do with the models.

It was an ok collection. The big shoulders reminded me too much of Rick Owens who did these exaggerated shoulders a few years ago. The models could barely walk. There are better models out there he could have used.

You didn't get the reference right. The source is Balmain 2010 collection when the creative director was Christophe Decarnin. At that time, the elevated shoulders elegant suit could be seen on Rushka Bergman stylist. At that time, she styled Michael Jackson. And you could see him wearing something similar in the "This is it" documentary.
