Celebrating the last decade with @olivier_rousteing and looking forward to the next one.
For #BALMAINSS22, Creative Director @olivier_rousteing presents perhaps his most personal offering to date. Marking his 10 year anniversary, the emotional presentation resonates as a celebration of beauty in all its forms and Balmain’s iconic savoir-faire, but also of healing and renewal, ushering in a new era.
A sensation, of course, reinforced by the general public being invited to join in the celebration and watch the show live at the #BALMAINFESTIVAL V02, dedicated to supporting @red in the fight against pandemics.

Congrats on 10 years Olivier! Some very strong looks here…especially the last part. True Olivier creations. I also see inspiration from Matthew Williams at Givenchy currently, Kanye West’s Yeezy , Bottega and the loose fits of Pheobe Philo’s Celine. Some pieces may not be for everyone, but who cares.

21:00 The main event starts. This collection is so fantastic and fab. I love how detailed and crafted every piece is made. 24:12 That dress is so magical. 24:34 Omg! This outfit is so chic! 24:53 That flowy dress is so intricate. 25:25 the outfit is already a bomb, so is the model. 25:46 This pantsuit is everything! 26:03 It's so pretty! 26:24 Look how detailed this masterpiece would be. 27:09 That look is so classy. 27:30 That's well crafted. 27:45 The dress made her look so young. Overall, the venue is superb! This is the best spring-summer collection I've watched so far. What a show to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Congrats Balmain!

Tall skinny and Black/Asian has replaced tall skinny and white and that's diversity, just tall skinny diversity. If designers want to be really diverse one tall plus size model does not cut it. They need several models of diverse height and size. Some of these models are six foot tall and have a 23 inch waist. What average teen girl can relate to that?
