This is a great video. We need a new tree this year. You can tell so much more from this than just looking on BH’s website. The sheen doesn’t bother me at all. Our last real tree was a Fraser and the underside of the needles had a beautiful sheen. It just glowed.

Thanks for posting! I really agree with you on liking a Matte finish better. I'm looking for a 12' tree, so I'm down to the Frazer or Blue Spruce. You mentioned the branches are different on the Flip Blue Spruce vs. Standard Blue Spruce. Are the needles the same?

I have a separate video on the tree I chose instead of going with the Balsam Hill brand. It was from Home Depot. It was a viral sensation last year and I found the updated version this year in October. They say no stock online for in store and shipping but they had them at the store. It was the grand dutchess fir.

I decided I wanted to buy an unlit tree since I hear of so many issues or short life span for lit trees, so it left my top three to be European Fir, Sanibel Spruce, and Balsam Fir (love the Aspen Fir but could never afford it). I love how real the European Fir looks, but the big bell shape of it throws me off. If I could mix these three together I feel I’d be much better off. Any advice lol?
