I hope those injuries on the pike came from big Balsam muskies. Musky fishing in Balsam has tanked since the pike showed up. We used to kill every one of em but it was no use.

Thanks ..I fished the very north end of the lake for a few days and caught a 34 inch Pike and a 30 Inch Walleye..never fished the south yet

battle scared pike are usually male wich are much smaller then female or could be a Old Gramdfather Pike chopping on yourss up to 8lbs //Caught my pikest pike up in Hornepayne ont 32 + lbs he was approx 45: girth 45' Lenth a beachball that was 1979

Do not eat any fish over 2 lbs from balsam lake, as since 1970s Sudbury increase their Melting Tower Polluted Balsam Lake -Cameron Lake & all surrouding Lakes- Do not forget Cancer takes years to devope, I Remember drinking right out of the Lake 1950-60 Realy Fresh Water- not now
