I own this watch, and it is truly lovely. I'm in agreement with you, Esbjorn, as it relates to homoges. I own several in my collection, some of which are so good that have made me question the extra large amount of money for the original watch. Thank you for sharing this piece and your thoughts, my friend.

I look at homages the same way as you Esbjorn, they are a great way to try out a watch to see if you really want the original, also sometimes the original is simply not attainable anymore, due to age, limited production, etc.

Thanks for the review. It's a nice looking piece. I like the color scheme; the dial is like a dark mocca color. Love the fact that it's a 39mm, too. I have a 7.5" wrist, and 36mm is way too small. I have the Steinhart Adventure which is a pretty good homage, but the Baltany is unique!

Thanks for the video. In the end. It is just a watch. If, you want a status symbol, or bragging rights, go knock yourself out and spend 10 or $12,000. Then you can say, is part of my "humble" watch collection. It is just a watch. If you have the "pocket money" and can afford the Rolex, get it and donate a few bucks to your local charities...if you have to save up for it...thats just dumb. Put it in your RRSP or something else for the future and buy a watch that you can spend pocket change on. It is just a watch. Cheers from Atlantic Canada!!!

Buy the Baltany have peace of mind when jumping off of catamarans... hiking the back country and snowmobiling... I recently ran into a Doctor wearing a yachtmaster which he took off while snorkeling in Aruba... best believe my orient mako2 stayed on my arm and that he literally ordered a mako 2 in front of me off of amazon when we got back on the boat for a cocktail. 😂 buy a watch you can live your life with

Haha, couldn't agree more! And that's a shocking story about the Yachmaster, a watch that could go literally anywhere that's treated like jewellery! Thanks for watching 🙂
