I can remember when they began to rebuild the Harbor area. There were old wear houses along the old piers. Once they finished the place, people came to Baltimore and enjoyed the city.

When was this recorded? We are the second boat from the left in front of Rusty Scupper, about 59 seconds in and numerous times later. MV Shir-Bert

April 27, 2014. Haven't watched this video in ages. This was my first time flying at the Inner Harbor with my old Phantom 2 Vision+. The cameras have come a long way since then! Do you live on the boat?

D-Bird, what type of drone were you flying for this video? Pretty nice voyage!

This was recorded with my old Phantom 2 Vision+. You can tell by the fisheye when the camera pans down.

Dirty Bird I noticed that but it’s still nice! Are you a 107 pilot or do you have to give notification for each flight there?
@DirtyBird5 жыл бұрын
@@DroneUpp No 107 for me. I just fly & I've never had any problems. I do try to be discrete. I'll setup or park away from people & launch as quietly as possible. I also park facing my ibtended flight direction & fly from inside my vehicle much of the time.

Great vid! I just purchased a DJI Phantom 3 but haven't flown it yet. Any tips on where I can/can't fly it in the Baltimore area?

+Abu Akh Thank you. For this video I took off right behind the National Aquarium. I have access because I deliver to them. You have to be careful nowadays because people have been worked into an anal frenzy about drones. What I recommend is flights very early in the AM before things get busy. Directly across the harbor from where this video was shot you can see Federal Hill (the big hill with the Flag post). With the extended range of the P3 (Pro & Advanced) an early morning launch should give you great access to some good aerial footage without too much bother.

Could you share what type of drone or device you were using? Seemed to perform well!

Mike Wilson It is a Phantom 2 Vision+ manufactured by DJI. It is last years model. The new Phantom 3 Professional is the same size, with a 4K camera, better optics, and a much improved control & FPV system. No fisheye on the new camera! Best of all, it costs the same as last years model - $1259. There is a lower end model - the Phantom 3 Advanced. Same except the camera is 1080 instead of 4096. - $999
