I think hasbro corp was convinced this figure wouldn't sell well but knew that collectors would want to add all RotB characters studio series characters to their collections, and told the designers to slap something together for as low of a price as possible. Bumblebee Nightbird will probably be retooled several times in the future.

I would watch That Toy Guy’s review, which I feel he has a possible answer as to why Nightbird’s wings are that way.

Pretty hard it takes 18 months to make these figures and this was based on concept art

The reason the wings are small is because it’s based off of concept from 18 months before the movie came out so they wings weren’t in the concept art and they had enough time to redo the figure a bit to fit tiny wings

Like I commented on chefatron’s review of this figure, hasbro totally could have split the car backpack in the middle and make them look like the wings, instead of the purely cosmetic junk kibble wings that looked like the dead raven on top of jonny depp’s head as Tonto in that horrible Lone Ranger movie.

Same. Turning the car's canopy into a wings would have solved both the kibble issue and the wing size issue. But they made the kibble worse by forcing those tiny chicken wings onto the design.

Got this one because I'm collecting all rise of the beasts studio series, but otherwise it's pretty mediocre on its own. Legs are too thin, wings are laughably small, chest is too large, and lots of kibble.

That other Nightbird toy, that from Rise of the Beasts mainline "Core" selection that has offered Core Deluxe and Core Voyager. I know it's head scratching concept but think of it as different take on Cyberverse and EarthSpark Deluxe selection.

I felt the same. Before I got her, I feel like I was gonna like it a bit more in-hand. But, it's a... meh. A lot of people hate SS Mirage, but I like that figure wayyy more than I like Nightbird.

really odd to me they did a Studio Series release for the Rise of the Beast movie at the same time as the general movie toy line being out. Like IDK about anyone else but I bought only 1 of the main line movie figures and then just waited for the studio series ones as I knew they would be out in a month. If they had waited like a year or two I might have bought more of the movie figures and then bought studio series one both. But I guess they are running out of studio series charecters to do without dipping into ROTB and they most likely needed too do it in order to fill out planagrams.

I don't care for Nightbird much but honestly since even if I'm still a Beast Wars fan that I'm the only one that enjoyed ROTB since Mirage,Noah, and the Maximals are my favorite characters in the movie? I'm starting to feel like that I should've went back to being a Unicron Trilogy,Animated,RID 2001 fan because at this point? the Bumblebee 2018 movie fanbase hating on ROTB is just an eyesore to me now, since it was also that fanbase's fault that I had to force myself to retire from Bayverse -_- Heck, even the Beast Wars 2nd/Neo anime I watched was alot more enjoyable for me than that stupid Bumblebee movie. 12:17 And I also hope to never hear of the franchise's sh*tty fandom's hatred of movies again lmao.
