I was expecting it to have much more Laser Prime parts, since the chest and forearms seemed similar, but really the only Laser Prime parts are the forearms. Everything else is is a new mold and I'm all here for it!

I love how while Prime's face is colored silver, his faceplate is painted white as if he's trying to emulate Santa's beard. Absolutely adorable.

The entire body of the figure is intended to look like Santa 🎅 Claus in its transformed state,hence the white "cuffs" @11:54. They're supposed to emulate the black gloves and fur-lining on Santa's suit.

I have to say, I really like this mold. It's nice to see a new Prime mold that doesn't "do an Optimus". It's neat and to be honest I could see a lot of characters use this mold (UT Rodimus immediately comes to mind).

Oh wow, that was NOT expecting this to transform in such a neat way and to look so good in both modes. Honestly tempted to buy this and paint out the Christmas theming just to have a weird neat OP (and I’m not even really that much of a Prime fan).

@@jedijack0577 I wouldn't object to a lot of repaints of this mold, careful with the chest though people, some have already had it sheer off at the 1st attempt to Transform it so support that hinge very close to the pin when transforming it. I'm curious as to what has happened to the Amazon exclusive version though..

I can’t wait to see what this gets repainted into. An easy guess would be G2 Combat Optimus Prime because of the esthetics and the truck mode but I can also see this repainted into Earthspark Optimus Prime, but that might be wishful thinking because the truck mode is very similar.

It's not actually any other prime.. Its a whole new mold and design just for this figure. The trailer on the other hand is a strait repaint of the earthrise prime trailer. So much for getting a updated xmas vintage coca cola trailer. Or heck the pespi 2-liter one.

I see Hasbro use Holiday Optimus Prime for Combat Hero Optimus Prime just changes the color and trailer.

Combat Hero Optimus Prime is the Blue one the red and white one is just plain "Hero Optimus Prime" one can say that the pre-existing Siege Megatron remould in grey and green camo is based on "Combat Hero Megatron". What is usually called Hero Optimus Prime is sometimes called "Sureshot Optimus Prime" due to him being sold as Sureshot not Optimus in some markets, much as Purple G2 Megatron is called "Archforce Megatron" by some. Though Archforce is a unique character so calling a Purple Megatron just "Archforce" is comon practice too. I do prefer the essentially unreleased Blue repaint (tagged by some as Combat Hero Optimus) or the plain white and red "Hero Optimus" Hero being a size class name incidentally equivalent to 'Mega'. The same mould was also later used to make a Scourge and the Megatron Mould was used to make a Bludgeon (Yellow Tank). There is some merit going with the blue Optimus for this one's repaint though as The red and white one would end up looking very similar to Holiday Prime.

He has some superficial similarities but only in the same way that TF Prime Optimus does too. This only looks like it does as it was originally an Amazon delivery truck.. which is why it's a Volvo.

I'm not the biggest fan of his calves being literally just the cab but everything else is superb, and this is the first time I've ever seen a Prime with emerald green light piping which makes it my new favorite Optimus head as well. Not sure if I'd be able to justify getting it though seeing as I already got Earthrise and Shattered Glass Prime already

I absolutely ADORE this guy. I haven't collected Transformers for an age now, but stuff like this makes me want to open the ol' billfold again once in a blue moon. When I saw the interior of the trailer here in this video, I decided to do a little research, and I'm happy to report that the good hands people over at Toyhax/Reprolabels did, in fact, produce an absolutely marvelous sticker set for this bad boy. Most of it is for the trailer, adorning the exterior with shiny golden embroidery and turning the interior into a Cybertronian Santa's Workshop that includes Naughty/Nice lists with Autobot and Decepticon names on them. They also made a label that gives his robot mode a Santa Claus beard LOL Also, a lot of folks say he could be re-tooled into a Laser Optimus...I say, however...this figure would be perfect to re-tool into a Legacy version of the old Generation 2 Rocket Launcher Optimus ("Combat Hero" I believe they called it). Other than reversing the lower legs so that the truck cab is his toes instead of his heels in robot mode, they are almost the same figure.

I just enjoy how beautiful the truck mode looks. I would like more trucks to just look like a truck instead of having an extended flat bed truck moving forward. It’s also kinda a shame that the trailer has too much remold since the back end of the truck is flatter, it looks like the trailer is hovering too high.

Clear Plastic used on non-structural parts is usually fine, it isn't ever fine to use it on ball joints or hinges... very very bad idea that is. I like this guy a lot over all. but I can see a lot of people being tempted to customise him. I think they'd have been better off bumping the price up slightly and spending the money on decorating the trailer interior and giving him a roller and missiles for the repair bay. But I guess they can get around that with a Holiday themed Centurion set or something like that. Oh Holiday themed disassembly figures.. yum. ! I like the mould the colours I fine, a tad silly, but I like an Optimus with green accents and I like black legs on a Prime too. I'm very keen to see how they repaint it, a Scourge would be nice with the trailer swapped out for the tanker one and this time chrome the thing. Or maybe as Toxitron.. That would work too. I think a fun accessory for him other than a Roller in red, and some leg covers would be a Christmas tree rocket to fit into his gun. & I hope Toy hax bring out their A Game and give him some cracking Xmas themed trailer interior stickers too. I play to fill mine up with Season's Greeters Botbots as soon as mine arrives (which unfortunately won't be for a while yet) he might even be the best figure of the year even with the penny pinching on him.

Comparing this truck with actual Volvo Lorries, it does seem to be missing the sleeper cab in the back of the driving cab which is why it seems a tad too long. I'd like to see upgrade kits that attach to the back to give it a more proper look.

He looks great other than the head being blue, which clashes with the whole color scheme. Black, red, or white would have been fine.
