The part that cracks me up is when he starts to berate Balto for wanting to take the journey to get the anti-toxin and Muk was kinda going off with his whimpering when Muk and Luk surprise him as he fell through a pipe as he went "Oh no! I'm beginning to understand the bear". Lol

Frankly, every part of Balto 1 including Boris was that great Side-Character that the Main Character needed. The 3rd one, nah. That gave too much focus on Boris-gets-goose-girl (and her design is way off too).
