Bam is night in korean, this is dubbed in Japanese after all. I think that's why it's like that.

Yoru means night in japanese, and bam is also night in korean. This kind of names changes is rare in any manhwa adaptation to japanese anime because, in manhwa, they called this irregular boy 25th bam, due to he was born on 25th night. Hence, they called him bam, which mean they literally called him "Night" as night. It is not a symbolic nomenclature given by parent or descendants. Thus, in order to keep the authenticity on how their intepret the meaning "night" when they called Bam, they need to change it to japanese "night", or else Bam could mean a different thing in japanese, which will lose the entire concept to preserve the meaning Night.
