I watched to these guys play half a lifetime ago in a concert, and I tell you, their bass lines while liveplay sa piece na 'to are way better kesa sa video. Bamboo sounds just as good if not better live than on a track too. They're one of those bands that play better live than their audio track, back then that was saying a lot about their talents. Sayang lang, they disbanded.

once and for all..read articles and research guys, watch interviews of bamboo..he is the antithesis of a rock star...meaning kabaliktaran> dont do drugs, dont smoke, stopped drinking long tym ago..and when you listen to him articulate you will have atleast a bit of insight of what kind of a person he is...wag puro speculations..✌️hala sige tuloy ang pakinig! cheers!

88pinkblush This is the new sobered up Bamboo. He did those things before in the 90s before he had a sabbatical in the U.S. Came back, better. Saw him live w/ Rivermaya before, a bit high I guess, singing Elesi, really different and aggressive version of the song but the best one I've heard.

Lots of Bamboo haters and detractors are very vested in the drug addict story. Mark Escueta says Bamboo was never into drugs. So who do you believe? The Rico Blanco/Ely Buendia type fans who have always seen Bamboo as some kind of a threat to their idols, or someone who actually knows the guy and was there? A few years ago I listened to a podcast where Bamboo talked about how he was on stage during the Rivermaya years. He said something to the effect that when the music started he would just disappear and follow a heartbeat. As he got older, he said he learned to put the brakes on and not lose track of the audience. I’ve always had respect for Bamboo. He was a teenager who had never sung in public when he joined the band that became Rivermaya. The fate of that band was on his shoulders and he delivered. He was really spectacular in the studio and on stage.

@@samray8418 that's very true. My officemate before was a close friend of Bamboo's wife. She said Bamboo was never into drugs. The reason he decided to remain in the US after that infamous concert in '98 was becoz he realized he's not getting any younger, he wanted to pursue his studies and live a normal life with his then girlfriend. True enough, Bamboo graduated from college and from then on, never looked back. Now, he is the most iconic and charismatic performer Pinoy music fans all over the world could ever adore. He just knows when to stop and put some direction into his life....
