Top robbed that particular KFC and shot someone before Ducky (Kendrick’s Dad) worked there, so when Ducky heard about Top doing that and possibly spinning back, he started giving him free food to get on his good side. Years later, Kendrick is signed to Top Dawg and finds out the story when he brought his dad to the studio with him randomly. He ends the verse saying, “because if Anthony killed Ducky, Top Dawg would be serving life. While I grew up without a father and died in a gun fight.” 🔥
