You need to watch "TrolldDemort" video, this is a root of whole saga. I don't know he is a serious or not, probably not, because 2 streams ago some sub asked "Should i use a magic or sword?" he answered "You can use what you want, the game it's about fun, you know what i mean?". I think, he not hates magic, he doing this because it's fun, it's like a game in the game. You can ask him dirrectly on Kick stream, just make sure that you subbed and installed Kick app on a phone, to not miss the stream.
