I can't believe I'm too late to watch this show. T_T Demmit if only I know this earlier. I was just on second ep to notice that this song and dance is the best. What an amazing performance. Banana Culture definitely made a gold choice. All 9 of them sing and dance really good. You Zhang Jing,Lin Yan Jun, Lin Chaoze and Bei HongLin is the best. 😳😳😳❤

I think the dance Lin chaoze made was referring to the first song and not yugyeoms but they probably edited in a way that made it seemed he referred to the full performance. But I'm pretty sure he did a cover of the dance and claimed the first choreo as his own. Knowing it's a public broadcast I'm p sure he won't claim someone's choreography as his own.

That's literally what i thought! When Lay asked about the choreography he didn't specify which song (maybe had been cut during editing) and he referred to one dance instead of referring to more than one dance. (ie 2 different choreos from the first and the 2nd song).

i don't really understand why people freaked out so much about the dance thing; yes, he said he choreographed most of it but??? they're literally covering songs too, why make a big deal out of the dance when the majority of the trainees were covering songs that aren't theirs? they're literally just auditioning for a show, not performing on stage claiming everything is their work. it makes absolutely no sense to me, people blew this way outta proportion for sure but kpop fans do love to scream plagiarism anytime an asian group that isn't korean does anything so idk why i expected any other result :/

Agree, season 2 will never beat season one. from just the first few episode of the first season I could already connect with most of the trainees, but for season 2 i can't. also there are more individual trainee not signed under any companies, while the over half of the company trainees trained for less than a year which is quite disaapointing cause they cant really show us their true skills.

Im not telling that they have rights to do things like we all said "THEY ARE COPYING YUGYEOM CHOREOGRAPHY DANCE" Maybe it is just coincidence. Maybe there's a step same as it. Sorry but I don't agree with the defence that because he said he choreographer *most* of it, it means that it wasn't plagiarism. Just stating some of my opinions, I just think it's weird he said the members gave suggestions but he choreographed most of it - which by that, it's pretty misleading because *it is assumed as a group they choreographed this* - that this came from them as a group. Not only that, it's not just Got7's hit the stage performance there are other aspects that are scarily similar to other groups? I'm just a bit confuse why people are defending it since there was no mention of inspiration from other groups; apart from theirs. Being able to choreograph is a big skill, so lying about said skill is just rude tbh. Sorry to say, even if it's 1/3 of the song (granted that's still a lot.) it's still plagiarism. It's no better - heck even worse than just doing a cover and admitting that it is a cover tbh? I can give an example of why using another group's material for even 1/3 of the song is considered plagiarism if I have to. Sorry if I'm overreacting but I just get so pissed when people steal from others since I'm an artist myself. I get how *frustrating* it is when people jack your hard work.

lol sorry this is a late reply, but I'm positive the show cut out some parts about what Chaoze said. I think he was referring only to the first song when he said he choreographed most of the dance because thats what him and the mentors were talking about. Because its a public broadcast, I'm pretty sure him and his groupmates are not stupid enough to claim ownership of the second song choreo. I think the show kind of evil edited Chaoze to create drama to generate more views. He also said he choreographed most of the dance, and the part from Yugyeom's hit the stage is actually only from 3:49 to 3:58, not the entire second song, which corresponds to what Chaoze said: "he choreographed MOST of it", save less than 10 seconds. He probably also isn't allowed to mention Yugyeom or Korea since China and Korea weren't on good terms when this was airing.

If you’re talking about very short, specific moves, that’s not copying because those groups didn’t invent those dance moves. A lot of people, korean, chinese, or American, use those moves. Can you tell me specific times please, because I really don’t see any other copying.
