I use “original” loosely. There’s a reason why it’s modded haha. You should’ve seen how it was (not even playable) before I got it. Missing parts and all. As you can see even the finishing was taken off which I did not do. It’s still barely hanging on

You should try for a Deafheaven inspired song. Maybe not with screaming vocals. But emphasize those blackgaze riffs.

@bananalabs14 күн бұрын
Of course! Every artist has their own secret sauce and special feel. These videos aren’t about figuring that out. All of my videos are more about coming up with one’s own approach to writing music inspired by their favorite artists. It’s always going to sound different from every one’s perspective and that’s the best part about creating art/music. It’s never the same as the original inspiration. Thanks for subscribing and for the support! Means a lot! And yes I’ve been listening to Superheaven lately and have seen the suggestions. Gonna see what I can do!

hey banana labs, idk if you'll have time for this but, i saw a cover a shoegaze of radiohead's creep on youtube and it felt very surreal. you think you could make a simple tutorial on how he achieved the instrumentals and the vocal mixings of it? the creator's display name is just the letter "N". i'd really appreciate if you could see this and i'll always support your channel!
@bananalabs22 күн бұрын
Ok I just heard it right now. Sounds really cool. It also sounds like they took the vocals from the original and slowed it down. It says “cover” so I’m assuming they played the instruments but just sampled the vocals. Interesting take. I’m not sure what they did in their version but it’s got me wanting to do my own Shoegaze version haha. Thank you so much for your support, by the way!

@bananalabs23 күн бұрын
Thank you, Nick! I appreciate the support. To be honest it’s not properly acoustically treated at all. I just recently put moving blankets and curtains behind the drums and got some panels (pack) from amazon and put those above the drums. Once I have the funds I want to add more panels.
@nickhumbracht154623 күн бұрын
@ cool yeah, it sounds great! I’ve read varying opinions online, I think you can get amazing results with minimal treatment..cause honestly most bedroom recording rooms aren’t that perfect rectangle shape with the right thickness of walls etc..that pro studios have lol so we have to work with what we have. 🤷🏻♂️
