Thank you for the interesting episode. One thing though, Nana Plaza was named after the powerful and real estate-focused Nana family, whose most prominent member was Lek Nana. It was initially a shopping center. Isn't that where the BTS station gets its name from as well?

Asok is named after Ashoka the Great (พระเจ้าอโศกมหาราช) I think.

Teacher, I’m sorry my English is not good but I would like to explain. There are some words in the Thai language called "คำซ้ำ”. We use "คำซ้ำ” to make the meaning of any words sound harder or lighter or show less or more numbers etc. These words often use “ๆ”. For example, the words "ช้า ๆ (slow ๆ), เร็ว ๆ (fast ๆ), เขียว ๆ (green ๆ). If “ๆ” is omitted, their meanings do not change, but the word "nana" is not “คำซ้ำ”. If “ๆ” is removed, the meaning will change to “นา (field)”. So we don’t use “ๆ” for นานา (Nana)

This video uses incorrect romanization, adapted for American or English speakers. This causes a lot of confusion. Like fish should be spelled Pla, not bpla et .. confusing between aspirated ph and th and unaspirated p and t. Also, there s no r at the end of thong lo!

Same with k and kh.

You just have to learn thai letters. No romanization will be accurate
