Banange tugende Mengo by Les Noirs

Chuza Kabaselleh was a Uganda-born Congolese musician and band leader of Les Noirs, one of the several Congolese bands based at Kamulu's New Life Nightclub. The renown Ugandan musician, Sammy Kasule, whose iconic vocals and syncopated bass riffs are the stuff of legend, was a member of Les Noirs.
"Banange tugende Mengo" is a leisurely paced and yet danceable Lingala song intermingled with sparse Luganda lyrics ... banange tugende Mengo ... that made it an instant hit in the pre-Idi Amin Uganda.
