Amongst them are Fukishuro Tamakawa, who is known to have worked on the Game ‘Metal Gear Rising’, Hayako Tsumi, who worked on both Uncharted 3 and 4, Kato Hinigi, known for their fantastic integration of many puzzle rooms in both Portal Games, Omaeda Tsushima, who had a key role in designing the map for both Zelda Breath of the Wild and Zelda Tears Of the Kingdom, and of course, our dear Osan-san, with whom we already had the pleasure to work with in the previous 3 installations of Garten of BanBan. To say the least, these past few weeks working with these people have presented us with an immensely enriching perspective into each of their minds, ideas and creative thinking, and we can only say that as a whole, this experience has presented tremendous growth, both for the company as well as for us individuals. But this insider’s commentary on the making of the intro sequence would not be complete without mentioning the lighting rendering aspect of it, for which our programmers have done an incredible job. Using a 3D mesh of multiple point light sources in the game, our lighting technicians were able to come up with a clever solution the result of which can only be described as astounding. It perfectly encapsulates the vision we had for the chase sequence, giving it a sense of depth and aliveness that complements really well with the Tiger Orange color we ended up choosing as the primary coloring of this section of the game, giving the walls and floors a pristine glance.
