Fun fact: In "The Secret Box", there's a little bit of foreshadowing towards the secret, where Patrick, during his sleep, pulls SpongeBob's tongue, akin to how he had to pull the string to reveal the secret compartment. It's a neat detail I've always noticed.

Judging by how it looks, she literally _shoved_ his head and body through the mouth-piece end of it, and then somehow pushed or squeezed or something to move him all the way through it until his head popped out of the bell/horn-end of it. If you look closely, Patrick's torso isn't visible, just his legs and waist. The rest of him is _inside_ the trombone.

Even after over 20 years, Band Geeks still holds a special place in my heart. It's my favorite episode of early seasons Spongebob. The comedy, hearing Sweet Victory for the first time, and seeing Squidward's rare and biggest W in the show. The early 2000s was the greatest time to be a child.

I think the episode a bit overrated in my opinion, sure it’s a fun episode but the plot isn’t anything special. The Sweet victory ending is only really why people rank so high, yes it is probably the best ending for a cartoon I ever seen but the rest is normal season 2 SpongeBob.

@@GreatgunYuit involved almost all the characters in one episode and we get to see really rare interactions like squidward and plankton, mr krabs having alot of extra personality, and the first appearance of squilliem. Comedys some of the best quality of season 2 which hit after constant hit, squidward gets a huge good ending, animations on point, no scene goes on for too long at all? Like what more can you ask for from a spongebob episode?

I think this episode has some of the most jokes-per-minute of any episode, and each one of the bits is very funny even as an adult watching. Fun fact about Band Geeks, it was a SpongeBob episode that got a full Re:Animated project years ago, (which to those unaware, they were massive projects compiled with various animators making their own renditions of media like children shows such as SpongeBob) It's of course unavailable on youtube because of copyright, however some animators have put their own segments on YT as their own videos. You could still probably find it on newgrounds or elsewhere online though.

I think Squidward just lying in a fetal position after the flag twirlers did Hindenburg part 2 is an underrated moment of the episode. This episode almost feels like a conclusion to Squidward's character given that he finally got the thing that he's been yearning. While it's sad that Sweet Victory never played in the Super Bowl, I do feel like Patrick getting to roast Russel Wilson live on tv made up for a small part of it.

Fun fact: Band Geeks was actually pulled by Nickelodeon, turning it into a banned episode. It was VERY RARE to actually see it play live, iirc it was only played 5 times since the episode first aired. The reason it was banned was because the original airdate for this episode was in September 2001, literal Days before 9/11. The Studio execs decided that the flag twirlers exploding scene was too similar to the events of 9/11, and decided to ban the episode.

Band Geeks made SpongeBob one of the greats forever immortalized in entertainment history! At least the first 3 seasons and the 1st movie. Edit: I personally believe that the show should've ended with the 1st movie since canonically (i know that's a weird word to use for SpongeBob since none of the episodes connect), it's the ending of the series. The show's quality went down since season 4 and cratered from season's 6-8. The creator, Stephen Hillenburg, returned for the second movie and the second half of season 9 and has stayed until his death in 2018 due to Lou Gehrig's disease. All of this has proven to me that no one could do it better. I haven't watched anything new from the series ever since.
