Great reaction My Friend. Every time I listen 'Alone' I feel that the solo done by Kanami is the sound of the freedom. The moment she starts in crescendo is some how desperation and happines. They knew, at this point, they were free. You can see Miku moving the head and the arm more than usual and, finally, my feel about Akane when she breaks the pace several times was that they were feeling the freedom by smelling the fresh air in front of them. The movements done by Kanami while playing shows you that she was putting her soul.

Once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well... look what they did. Alone! BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles. Thx, 2G!

Once they were allowed to control their own song writing they hit the ground running. Not as though the music on their earlier albums was bad, but MISA and Akane began to blossom into the unit that they are now. Kanami was not the same, as I gather before Band Maid she had prodominantly been playing acoustic guitar and composing on the piano before going fully electric. The drum patterns and bass lines in this song are just magical, as was Kanami's solo- one of her best even now.

This song has the strange quality of moving me... every time I listen to it it rains in my eyes... The chorus has some emotion and nostalgia, and Kanami's solo allows it to overflow... I don't know, I guess it's the Band Maid effect... Thanks for the reaction!!!

I want to preface this by saying I am a fan of everything Band-Maid, I love these ladies and what they do. But, Alone has to be my favourite song of theirs, despite being an old one. It's just so good, Kanamis solo is one of her best ever, and the song also just represents something really important for the band (freedom). And the video is classic Band-Maid style so of course it's a joy too. God I love this song.

The whole song is a masterpiece. The whole band is a masterpiece. The guitarsolo is a masterpiece. Akane's drumsticks is two small masterpi.......💥
The solo from 3, 2, 1 go! is supreme. This song is the first song that they wrote, composed and arranged, so it's a very important point. The name Alone also seems to indicate that they are independent. The moment BAND-MAID began to exert their true power.

The dual vocals in the verses are so good in this. Also, if you go back to Unleash video, anime Kanami is trapped in the Alone set. It's special to her because it's the first Band-Maid song she wrote.

Wonderful reaction. This was one of the many songs in their catalog that, afterwards, made me shake my head and wonder why I hadn't heard of this band years ago. I'd shake my head again after learning it was the first song by the band that their label allowed them to release. Next would see them release their first single Yolo (entirely written and arranged by the band), and I encourage you to react to B side of Yolo (I think you've already heard the A side title track) as the B-side songs are just as brilliant and inventive. One of the B-side songs called "Unfair Game" has arguably one of best solos ever done by Kanami.

It does make you wonder what the hell was rejected if their management waited for something as good as this for their first self penned and arranged song particularly when you see the avalanche of great songs that immediately followed this. Unfortunately Miku has very firmly stated that everything that was rejected will never see the light of day. Another song that I absolutely love the vocals of Saiki and Miku.

In my mind, and I'm sure in other Maidiac's minds, this song holds a special place in our hearts. Like Thrill that brought them to our world, this song was a turning point in that it began the journey to the B-M we know today. Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things. I dare to say one of the most important songs in their catalogue.

Champ of Medium said this song is pop punk but Kanami played the solo like she was in a Metal band. He said the kicker is what Akane is doing. (Kicker.... ::hint:: :: hint:: ::nudge :: ::nudge::) For the next song, how about one that doesn't have an official video? Like Freezer, Matchless Gum or Unfair Game? The solo in Unfair Game though... You will wonder why it suddenly got so cold even your scalp has goosbumps.

Can't believe I never spotted that before, but it is super quick. Good eye! I'm surprised the editor didn't emphasize it more because it's such a great visual statement. This confirms my desire to do shot-by-shot storyboards of the videos because it's so easy to miss details with all the fast cuts.

It is mindblowing that EVERY verse is different, but they can always remember it perfectly... They are putting so much work into their songs, other bands would feed of those ideas to create double or even the triple amount of songs, they just put it into one... Why? Because they can and they know it. Kanami is for me HANDSDOWN the best songwriter in our generation. (Besides Hans Zimmer and John Williams, but they do filmmusic!)

The way they take you down a dark alley into a bright meadow and make your mind explode all in one song is amazing and what really sets them apart. They are all impressive musicians, that's for sure. For those who always want a "favorite", they are probably a bit annoying. Anyway, I can't choose one of them, they all seem so adorable in so many ways. The possibly interesting thing is that Misa is the one who started the cheeky jokes before the gig. Coola Saiki is said to be the one who strongly supported Kanami when the record company did not release her self-written songs. Miku is said to be able to drink Misa under the table, and that while wearing a business suit. Akane the one who initially organized times etc. for the band. Kanami plays almost as well with numbers as the strings of her guitar, MBA in economics. In other words, I can understand your enthusiasm for them.
