The doors for VIP opened 20 minutes late (6:20), and the show started at 20 minutes past 8 as well. The staff at the Fillmore seemed to be taken aback by the size of the crowd and were doing some serious scrambling to get the unruly mob 😝queued up on the sidewalks and the doors opened. The staff was friendly, hard-working, and got us through the doors quickly and efficiently once they were opened. The house was packed solid, with no empty space to be seen anywhere on the main floor. A man seated at the balcony table with us was a local, and a regular at the Fillmore, and he said he had never seen the place so full.
@DeanF_MIDI2 жыл бұрын
they actually didn't open late. the staff came out at like 3pm and told us all that at 6pm they would go through the VIP line and do the lanyards. Then at 6:30pm we would start entering. Then after that the rest of GA. it was very well organized, the best of the tour so far... by far. i was the 5th one in VIP line.

@@DeanF_MIDI What I understood, and was echoed by those around me, was that the VIP would be let in at 6pm, the fast-track tickets at 6:30pm, and GA at 7pm. I think this was based on the order of things from the previous shows. It was around 5 when I joined the the VIP line, so you were about 100 people in front of me. The tall staffer with the shaved head (who seriously need a bullhorn🙂) was telling us that they had 450 VIP customers out on the sidewalk.

It looks the Ladies were having a small issue with their In Ears. Saiki, normally messes with the IEM in her right ear constantly, but Miku and Kanami were checking their quite a bit as well.
@MaartenT2 жыл бұрын
Not sure if it's the same as me, but my right in-ear has a tendency to get somewhat loose as well as each ear is obviously different and I think the beginning of my ear-canal on that side isn't straight enough for the in-ear to properly fit. It's not the biggest problem for me, but I can imagine it being a big pain when you are moving around and sweating as much as they are on stage. I remember Saiki saying in one of the interviews they did on their fanclub (I believe) that she doesn't have personalized in-ears and just uses in-ears you can buy from a normal store. So she might have a similar thing. That or she tries to hear her own voice better, I believe she said that's why she doesn't buy personalized in-ears to begin with. The rest of the band should have personalized in-ears, but there might have been technical issues or something.

I don't remember the show or who shot that other video though, but I did notice it sounded way more balanced. Which makes a ton of sense because that is a lot of sound for such tiny speakers.
@elisgaspar23052 жыл бұрын
how to ruin one of your best songs, miku is a good rhythm guitarist but don't give her the main part of your best song since it doesn't have the same quality and ecence that kanami gives her, it must also be said that in this presentation kanami's guitar sounds horrible, also it must be said that saiki lowers the notes because he can't stand the high notes. The worst thing is the lack of enthusiasm that he puts into playing this type of rock songs, the same thing happens with "Thrill". They went from being a rock band to being a simple punk band.
@MaartenT2 жыл бұрын
Their first album is basically a pop-punk album, they literally started with playing "punk" songs.... Almost all their songs from Maid In Japan until Just Bring It are mainly punk based with a couple of exceptions. I would say World Domination probably has more mainly hard rock based songs, but that's probably the first album and it might be the only album that has more mainly hard rock based songs actually. Conqueror is difficult to place, but most tracks on Unseen World also sound more punk based to me than hard rock based. I would say that more of their songs are mainly punk based than they are mainly hard rock based, but to me they have generally always have been a pop-punk/hard rock blend. Some songs go more to the punk side, others more to the hard rock side and they just throw in other genres here and there like some metal (especially the drums), some more progressive sounds and some jazz influences. That has never really changed from when they started to write their own music. They just upped the tempo and are using more production nowadays. I obivously haven't heard this one live, but I though they actually have shown a lot of enthousiasm from the live videos I have seen including this one. Also, don't forget that this was recorded on a phone with a phone microphone. You can't judge the soundquality of the actual performance of a recording like this and compare it to their highly produced live DVD/Blu-rays which were clearly remixed after the fact. As far as Miku goes, the only other option they have is to play backing tracks for some of the melodies (like they do on their official live video for Onset for example). I prefer them to play as much live as possible myself, also the only way for Miku to get better is to play more difficult parts. I actually think a lot of their newer songs rely a little too much on backing tracks to begin with, so I 100% hope they keep giving Miku more lead parts. As far as Saiki's notes go. They are touring for 2 weeks now, that will have a toll on any vocalist. I think she does a great job all considered and prefer her to go a bit lower instead of her needing surgery after the tour. If you think all their early records are done in one take without any production (pitch correction and stuff like that), think again. I honestly think your expectations of the soundquality of a fancam video are a bit too high and your expectations of a band sounding like the record are also too high. They actually sound way closer to the album than most bands do that I have heard, not counting pop artists who play a track and mime on the mic or live DVD's that have been remixed.
@jonasw39452 жыл бұрын
Dude who hurt you ? this sounds amazing, the lead was played by Kanami not Miku, the singing is great. Also how does lack of "enthusiasm" when performing one song changes their genre from hard rock to punk ??? Last time I checked hard rock and punk rock were genres of music not a measure of how much enthusiastic you were in a random song from a 90+minutes concert. Also you could maybe, maaaaybe, like maaaaybe not judge a song from a low quality fancam like any reasonable human being
