Just ran into a older gentleman tonight at a trivia event in my town wearing a BAND-MAID shirt. I didn't think anyone in my town knew who they were, but this guy certainly knew! I was thinking she had Chris Squire vibe going, but I'm actually leaning towards Roger Glover. Both are pickers. Geddy is great as well, but he mainly plucks. Rogers' solos sound like this one. And Deep Purple have had a big influence in Japan.

What I like is that their "metal" is so clean and perfect. I listen to everything they put out over and over. They have become the only band I listen to. I know, that is bad but I can't help it.

If it feels that good, how can it be bad? Besides, at this point you would be hard pressed to listen everything once in a row and get through it in a day. I've tried, and always have to put a song 'on loop' for a bit (Bestie's the latest example) before moving on to the next one.

I have had the same "problem" for several years now, everything else seems inadequate in some way, just lacking that Band-Maid feel/soul/depth/whatever. The near absence of repetition within the same song let alone between songs makes them almost infinitely listenable. In short, they are the best rock band ever, integrity, care for fan base, quality of composition (ignore Bestie) massive individual talent topped off with a the total is greater than the sum of the parts effect. I am obsessed!

ソロといえば通常インプロヴィゼーションがもてはやされていたし、バトルとかデュエルといえば対決ということになるが、バックのドラムも含めて、このバンドのソロは、演者が好き勝手をやっているわけではなく、全て計算されたアンサンブルの中でのソロであるというのが特徴で、正に10年間一緒にやってきて、お互いに信頼し合っているバンドのソロであり、バトルと感じる。まあ、1970年代とは違って、延々とインプロヴィゼーションを続ける演奏が好まれるとは思わないけど。
