Their label was going to drop them if this MV didn't show some traction. Thankfully, a Facebook J-rock group posted it to their page, and it took off! 11 years later, still going strong! All original members too!

One of their oldest songs, but still one of my favorites from Band Maid. As has been mentioned in another comment, Miku didn't really know how to play guitar back then. Kanami helped her learn , and now she is a very good rhythm player. The new album is out soon, check out a song from that called "Show Them". A collaboration with The Warning. It will lead you to another awesome rabbit hole with that Mexican rock band.

This was BAND-MAID`s 1st MV from 2014 , good thing the ladies insisted on doing Thrill instead of the song the record label wanted them to do , cause it saved BAND-MAID from being disbanded by the record label , I call the live version the laid back version , they could play Thrill in there sleep . btw those were two different maid outfits , one Black n White , one Red / White / Black .

As always thanks for the reaction and as always it’s enjoyable to watch someone enjoying this band the way that so many of us do. Now since you’ve watched the song that saved the group I suggest Alone which is the first song written by Kanami after the band got together or YOLO which was written ( in part ) before the band was formed. There is a video of Kanami playing it on piano, it is beautiful. Again thank you for the reaction and continue to enjoy the ride.

They fought for this song for an MV instead of the one the company wanted. The rest is history. I don't know if anyone told you yet but there is a history video for every member of the band (Miku actually ha a three parter) that you might find interesting.

Another great energetic reaction to the historic milestone song which saved the band. Glad you noticed Miku. She's a fantastic lead and backing singer. Now, for the next song...try the next historic milestone song..."Alone" OMV. This song was the first song which was written entirely by the Maids, which their label approved. And since then, for the majority of the songs, have written all of their songs. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

I have a couple I'd like to suggest. "Daydreaming" (official music video) is a slower song, but a beautiful one. "Influencer" (official music video) has some great solos and an incredible location. They both have live versions, but they aren't official. But the music videos are amazing.

@@dejzmi7089 now that you have found the bottomless pit of japanese female rock and metal you have found a new obsession. i am 71 years old and grew up on EVERYTHING 50's - 80's. as much as i love BAND MAID and the rest i have to say that LOVEBITES has taken over the number one spot for my all time favorite band. the 2 guitarists midori and miyako are simply NOT human as they are pretty much incapable of making one mistake in the live performances. they are a 2 headed guitar monster and maybe the best duo i've ever seen. i must share with you the song 'scream for me' from a studio live performance to see their insane capabilities. best guitar song i've ever heard - and after this you will want to check out the llve of 'set the world on fire' from the 'ride for vengeance tour 2021' :kzbin.info/www/bejne/amfdXmRpoZeihNU

Since this song was written by Kentaro Akutsu, I wonder if Band-Maid bought the rights to this song or do they even do that in Japan. I've also wondered if it could be why Band-Maid doesn't play a lot of their earlier songs. Did they buy all of them? Do they just get permission? ......Anyone know?
