The Warning are three sisters from Monterrey Mexico. Daniela "Dany" Villareal, age 24, on vocals and lead guitar. Paulina "Pau" Villareal, age 22, on drums. Alejandra "Ale" Villareal, age 19 on bass. They formed their band years nearly 11 years ago, when Ale was only 8, and have done public performances since the beginning. They have 4 studio albums and have done hundreds of live shows on four continents. They mainly headline their own tours now, but have opened for some big names including Foo Fighters, Guns n Roses and Def Leppard. They've toured with Muse, Halestorm and Three Days Grace. They and Band-Maid admired each other for years before performing and collabing together. Their sound is rock with elements of other styles, lots of powerful riffs and catchy, memorable songs... and IMO as a fan, they are one of the best bands in the world today.

Maidiacs and The Warning Army ❤! What a combo! Misa and Ale have a really tight connection on a personal level. I hope they get to see each other more. Kanami and Dany did an interview together for PRS, and both love each other. I think it's fun that Kanami wrote the high at E5, which is pretty high for BM. Dany regularly sings at F5 with their song Hell You Call A Dream, so not as much a stretch, but it's enjoyable to see them pushing boundaries. BM did an awesome job with this, as did their production crew. See you in Mexico for the next round!

I definitely recommend watching The Warning live as their energy and charisma totally jumps off the screen. As far as tunes to react to, for some punky vibes, I would suggest the song "S!ck" performed on the Jimmy Kimmel show. For a sheer vocal showcase, I would recommend "Hell You Call a Dream" from the Pepsi Center. And “Automatic Sun” (more hard rock/grunge), really shows a different side (they did that on Kimmel too, or check out their original video in front of a huge festival crowd). Hope to see more of The Warning on your channel soon!

For more insight on the relationship between the two bands, PRS guitars has an interview on YT with Dany and Kanami, they both play PRS guitars. The Warning are three sisters, and I'll bet they didn't expect to end up with 5 big sisters when they went to Japan, but that's certainly what happened. Their socials are full of the interactions and it is as charming as you'd expect.

Actually Ross, The Warning are currently my favourite non-Asian band, loved it when I found out they were going to collab with the Maids. Love the song and the video, and if you want to see a real Rock and Roll performance by The Warning, check out "Evolve" live at the WMA Awards, it will blow your socks off, trust me !!!

As far as rabbit holes go, the girls of The Warning have a deep one, especially for their ages. The Villarreal sisters, Daniela (Dany, vocals/guitar), Paulina (Pau, drums/vocals), Alejandra (Ale, bass/backing vocals) are from Monterrey Mexico, and started when they were very young, they exploded when they uploaded a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman to KZbin in 2014, when they were 9 (Ale), 12 (Pau), and 14 (Dany). They are very open and friendly, and we have gotten a pretty good idea of who they are as people, off stage, and that's one reason they are so loved. They have some really cool MV's, but live is their super power. Anything from Teatro Metropolitan 2022 is 🔥As is their latest album, Keep Me Fed, released june 28th 2024, and it's their fourth studio album. I have been a fan of theirs for a couple of years now, but I actually discovered BAND-MAID before The Warning.

As a TWA member this was my first time checking out any of your reactions and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to your dive into The Warning. They excel at playing live so don't be surprised if a lot of suggestions are live shows. Subscribed. By the way, don't expect a lot of guitar solos from Dany. Her guitar playing revolves around what they feel each song needs. If you do want to see something with a solo I would suggest 'Z' or 'Queen of The Murder Scene', either from their Teatro Metropolitan show. By the way, all 3 sisters sing, with Pau, the drummer, singing lead or sharing lead on 20-30% of their songs.

If you want to check out The Warning, they have just released their 4th studio album Keep Me Fed, but there is also a lot of "old" stuff to check out. Just like Band-Maid, they are fantastic on stage so live videos are highly recommended. I would start by "Evolve", live at the 2023 MTV VMA, "Hell You Call a Dream", live at the Pepsi Center, the Music Video of "Six Feet Deep" and also "Disciple", live at Poland Rock, recorded just a few days ago while they were on tour in Europe!

The Warning is the best in the West today. IMHO these two have been the best two bands in music today since I first heard them both in late 2021. I highly suggest your first solo introduction should be "The Warning - EVOLVE (Live on The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards)" then probably "More" from that same show. They've been playing together for over a decade, despite being only 24, 22, and 18 years old....because they're sisters! They learned to play and formed a band together because they loved playing "Rock Band" the video game (which I myself have spent weeks in total playtime in).

Hi Ross, Welcome to The Warning. These are 3 sisters from Mexico and have been a band for 10 years now. Dany on guitar and lead vocals is now 24 years old, Pau on drums and vocals (sometimes lead whilst simultaneously playing) is 22, and little sister is Ale at 19 on bass. The Warning have opened for Muse, The Foo Fighters, Guns and Roses, and later in October with Evanescence. The Warning have recently done a European tour selling out all 19 shows from Check Republic to Germany, Croatia to France, Spain , Switzerland, and 6 shows in the UK. They just played Nottingham, Liverpool, and Dublin 2 weeks ago before playing in the Wacken open air festival and Poland. Songs to listen to? The Warning is best live. They played at the MTV awards last year. Check out their performance of Evolve from the MTV awards. They have just released a new album recently called "Keep me fed." He'll you call a dream live at the Pepsi centre is a great live song. Automatic Sun on MTV push, Six feet deep Music Video, are from this album. Older must listen to songs, Choke music video, Dust to Dust live at Teatro Metropolitan theatre, recorded August 2022 or any song from that performance is great. 22 songs and not a bad one. The Warning are as follows. Daniela aka Dany on lead guitar and vocals. Alejandra aka Ale (pronounced Ah-leh) on the big five string Spector bass. And last but not least, weighing in at a 110 pounds soaking wet and five foot nothing is Paulina aka Pau (pronounced POW!) on the drums. I wouldn't recommend mispronouncing their names. The Warning army takes offense with that LOL!

Just like Band-Maid, The Warning are better live than in studio versions, provided the audio production is good. Just like the Yokohama 10th anniversary is probably the reference for the Maids, there’s a similar concert by The Warning, live at Teatro Metropolitan 2022.

Thank you for your reaction. Only heard it once but sounds great. I don’t care all that much about ranking, more interrested in what you have to say about the song, but if the collab include all on approx equal level, there are so many artists and bands that do that I don’t see a point to see it as anything as a full part of their artistic work. If you are interested, PRS Japan are using the collab to make commercial stuff on their youtube channel. I have listen to The Warning, one album, to find out what it was about and it was very good music and decided to return to them later, when the storm of music from Japan slow down a little, so I leave suggestions to others. This collab was just stellar! They blend together sooooo well! Do absolutely give yourself the treat of checking more of The Warning; they're in the top tier of live bands in the world right now (my opinion, of course :) ). If you do go down the Warning rabbit hole, remember that (like Band-Maid), they are *always* better live, if you have the choice between live and studio. A bit like you- As a Band-Maid fan I was not too interested in other bands even though I did check them out. But, in the absence of the Maids for another year, I went to see Lovebites last month and they were really good with a great stage presence. The twin lead guitars made it for me as it is something that Band-Maid (currently) don't have and their singer is great at the more melodic parts but could do with a bit more grit for the harder metal songs. Anyway, because of this collaboration- Next up, we have tickets now for The Warning early next year. Generally, The Warning, as you now know are a top hard rock band but with less complex arrangements than Band-Maid and with not so much lead guitar work. This collaboration is a magic moment in contemporary rock history.

I'll be honest, I hate when B-M collabs. It's always been a pale imitation of what they are. Until I heard they were doing one with The Warning. I knew they'd hit it out of the park and they did so. Saw The Warning live earlier this year. They are a 10/10 band live and have a great discography. More straight-ahead compared to B-M's proggy ways. The definition of a power trio. Well worth a look into if you like top quality rock that seems to have largely died a death these days.

So I've only heard a few songs from The Warning. And I suppose I've been spoiled by Band-Maid so I wasn't a huge fan. But I heard a song the other day from them that I really liked so if you decide to go down this The Warning Rabbit Hole I'll go with you

Question. You say you don't react to live, but you also say you would react to a version if it's really different. So their acoustic concert which was technically live but no audience, and the versions are very very very very very different. Will you rank those? Of course most of those are awesome and will give you fits for the ranking, maybe you shouldn't do them

Sayanokidori and Catharsis are released as official videos and are seriously different then the originals. Also I don't know if you've joined band maid Prime yet, but it's really cheap and amazing what they have on it
