Vincent Van Gogh was born in Zundert, not Nuenen. Nuenen is famous because that's where he painted the potato eaters. That soldier should ask Harvard for a refund.

This is why every Western country decided to develop their own intelligence agency shortly after WW2. British intelligence was incredibly lackluster at best and atrociously incompetent at worst. And when British intelligence actually found something useful, they always made sure to send their Allies, whether it was Americans in D-Day or ANZAC troops in Gallipoli, as cannon fodder while the Brits reaped all the glory by conveniently occupying lightly defended "easy" positions.

@ravensthatflywiththenightm7319 Yet it was British intelligence that tipped off the Soviets on the German battle deployments for Kursk 😉 "they always made sure to send their Allies, whether it was Americans in D-Day or ANZAC troops in Gallipoli, as cannon fodder while the Brits reaped all the glory by conveniently occupying lightly defended "easy" positions." This is *inaccurate* . First of all, during the Gallipoli invasion, ANZAC casualties amounted to 26,000 killed and wounded, while the British ( not counting colonial forces) lost 120,000. And while the Americans faced heavier resistance on the D-day landings, the British and Canadians took on the bulk of the Waffen SS and Wehrmacht's Panzer divisions in land. Just see the figures below on the comparison of enemy strength. *Estimated German forces on the British 2nd army front.* *June 15th - Panzer divisions, 4. Tanks 520. Infantry battalions, 43.* *25 June - Panzer divisions, 5. Tanks 530. Infantry battalions, 49* *30th June - Panzer Divisions, 7:5. Tanks 725.
