It occurred to me this morning that not many tv shows have had such an impact on the actors that, so many years later, they’re still active in commemorating the stories they told in the show. That just demonstrates the incredible power of the stories, the TRUE stories, of the war and the people who fought it. Let’s keep sharing those stories!

One of the things that put Band of Brothers head, shoulders, and jump boots above other series or war movies was the genuine respect of the actors for what they were doing. I don't always say nice things about actors, but when I do it's often because of Band of Brothers.

Alex and many of the actors here have gone above and beyond to help younger generations understand what Normandy is really about, why it is so important to remember and honor the men and women who went to do their duty without fanfare or drama, then came back home to resume their interrupted lives ... or lost their lives in Europe. The bond this created among them has kept them together in the 24 years since they filmed the series. They're all gatekeepers now to this history at Normandy, Woody.

Thanks for the extra effort you put in to being there at La Fiere Bridge to highlight the jump of the Band of Brothers actors honoring the men they portrayed in film. Well done Woody and heartfelt by a former member of the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division 1980 - 1987. I only hope that I would have lived up to what those men of Company E. 506th Regiment accomplished.

Where are all the 82nd Airborne reenactors Paul? No need to tell you that La Fiere was their objective, not that of the 101st. I didn't see a single "All-American" patch in this video. Seems that the 82nd Airborne have become the 'poor cousins' of the American parachute infantry in Europe thanks to the Band of Brothers effect.

@@scrappydoo7887 Nope. I was just making an observation based on what I saw in the video. If Paul says there were more guys there in 82nd Airborne uniforms than 101st uniforms I will take his word for it, but this video would suggest the reverse was true. There might be a couple of 82nd Airborne patches seen indistinctly, but the rest of those that can be seen are clearly of the 101st. Whether or not it is appropriate for 101st patches to be so much in evidence at this 'commemoration' is for someone else to judge. I am clearly not a much of a fan of this type of event to start with.
