Funny story when i got mine it got a dark grey paint stain in its right leg i dont know if its a mistake or intentional but i always think as battle damage

Really appreciate this particular video review; been trying to verify for a while if the 'tongues' were painted on this guy or not, it's hardly visible in most photos, and I was willing to grab the original release instead based solely on that. Still trying to decide which coloration I prefer but at least it won't be over the 'tongue' lol

I have the original version of this sculpt, and I prefer the more muted silver instead of it being shiny (Showa MG was a lot more dull in color, especially 75), but it's really nice to see Bandai releasing this guy again in a more normal color scheme so people can get him at a more affordable price.

Really gotta nab me an OG MG75, even though i love this guy, I really like the more muted scheme on him. Just flows a lot nicer!

I would say both are movie accurate to a extent since some shots MG does have a dull grey color, and other he's more shiny gun mettle (The Tokyo Raid Scene). I have both these versions as well as the black memorial box version. If I had say which is better between this and the original, Articulation would be the original because of the waist swivel. But in terms of accurate paint, probably the new one due to the Accordion joint connectors and metal rim parts are correct colors being dark in color in the actual move.

I can already tell that this is going to be better then the Movie Monster EX Series Mechagodzilla. I mean, just looking at it, it looks super screen accurate....

I like this figure a lot, but unfortunately one of the arms on mine is very loose. Nice review!

Thanks fam! Glad ya enjoyed it! Yeah, I dunno why the "Damage Color" title was given to the figure when it just.... looks accurate to the on screen design. Maybe someone will shed some light on that at some point lol

You might be thinking of the Heisei Mechagodzilla, which Bandai America released in 2005. This new one is the second Showa Mechagodzilla.
