We recently sat down with Detroit’s BandGang Javar for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our conversation he talked about growing up on the Westside of Detroit, says Detroit is worse now than when he was coming up, jumping off the porch in 2014, getting into scamming, turning his life around, getting a lot of money while in high school, getting indicted when he was 19, serving 2 years in prison, changing his mindset while locked up, rapping since he was a middle school, explains how BandGang formed, using his lyrics and interviews against him in his case, being more focused ever on the music, explains why he took 2 years off from dropping a project, his new album hitting top 50 on Apple Music, preferring to write rather than punching in, working with Pretty Brayah on “What Was Said”, his thoughts on scam rap right now, reveals PaidWill wanted to fight him when they first met, building a close friendship with Jizzle, upcoming BandGang album, recording “How Can I Stop Pt. 2” when he first came home from prison, shares advice for the youth, explains how he got the nickname Rose, plans for 2023, fatherhood, having to do court ordered anger classes, not paying attention to online trolls, and much more!
