KBThaBandHead you gotta check out this whole March in cadence it’s called Series! Oh and they match in off series and play get ready, but percussion jump right into Jungle beat which is a part in series. It’s actually a 20-30 minute long cadence

During my tenure with the Sonic Boom of the South, the march shown was called "The Flash." It was one of the first things we learned in band camp. It took a little time to get all of those left arms moving in unison.

I love that cadence I always played that as a challenge and the drum major killed it my drum major played for Jackson in 2006 Byron from Detroit Pershing......yes I did to I thought Justin was goin to jsu I said he got first draft...

Old school original is still the best. FAMU and the marching 100. Back in 1963 their death cadence was the bomb and still is now.

love old school original death cadence MARCH IN. TSU drummers would hit that big drum it sounded like a "bomb." They took one step and held one leg up for seconds and repeated (sure you have seen that). You could hear drum all over North Nashville. I don't listen to these podcast "want to be's). When they show me a certificate or Degree in Music, I might listen. I can see and hear for myself and make my own Evaluation.

Re Justin Heideman aka VanillaFunk aka That BUy John, there are over a dozen videos, tv news reports, and print articles about how/why he choose ASU over JSU. There's even a 2-hr Roger Bros interview (that HBCU YT show) w/him & his fellow durm majors. All I remember is he said that life isn't (or shouldn't be) like Tetris. He doesn't want to fit into some spot others select for him. He wants to carve his own path. Something like that. Old soul!
