I won't claim to be an expert on the issue, but used to ride for one of their support clubs. There are some hispanic members, but majority white. I have been told the bylaws used to (lightheartedly, I presume) state No Fat Mexicans, despite the patch being affectionately referred to as "The Fat Mexican."

Not sure where you're getting your info. But Bandido is Spanish, Bandito with a T is Italian. If you have proof otherwise, I'd like to see your source.

Hey, you got me more looking into this. I made an assumption. I was wrong, kinda... Merriam-Webster says, "bandito noun ban·​di·​to ban-ˈdē-(ˌ)tō : an outlaw especially of Mexican extraction or origin," BUT it also says, further down, "Word History Etymology borrowed from Italian, "outlaw" - more at BANDIT NOTE: Since the nineteenth century the term has been used erroneously for Spanish bandido.." So, there it is. Then, if you look up, "bandiDo," you get, "bandido noun ban·​di·​do ban-ˈdē-(ˌ)dō plural-s Southwest : an outlaw especially of Mexican extraction or origin Word History Etymology Spanish, from Italian bandito."
