My review and why I bought a new bandit 12xpc 1.5 years ago !

Check your shear bar every 50 hours mine just fell in and damaged my drum had to drive it 1300 miles back and forth to bandit I Michigan to have it fixed

@justpalms is your 12xpc gas? I just ordered a 12x and considering the Diesel engine instead of gas.

@@manuelignacio5568 yeah it's gas. It's a beast. On the smaller machines, I don't think diesel is necessary.

Agree on new 👍 most used equipment being sold is polished turds, (not always) and new you get something better than a tail light warranty !

New chippers deffinetly a good buy it's our main money maker, I told everyone if my truck broke id rent a uahaul and chip into that I'd spend all night cleaning it out if needed I was gonna succeed no matter what

It's now paid off 3 years early and hasn't given me a single issue now i know the maitnacne and I trust it it's gonna make me money for a while

Next step up would be the 6.2L Ford for a gasoline unit, they are smooth, make a ton of torque and as long as you keep the knives sharp, they just run and run. That might be the best configuration there, super simple.

I have the same machine and the door where it meets the frame is poorly designed as it got damaged and in order to replace it you have to cut the hinges

Great review brother! You had mention about possible getting a bigger chipper would you sale the 12xpc?

I have a 90xp and I’m sick and tired of stuff getting wedged in and behind the feedwheels causing them to bind up.. I’d love a drum chipper! How often do you flip knives?

I have the 15xpc 145hp kohler that thing eats 15 inch logs no problem.

I've ran that same Chipper although I don't think it's a Kohler I think its a psi motor , the chipping power is nice but I am going for a 18 or 19 cause the wide infeed

Adjust the clutch. The belt should burn before the clutch does.

My belt was always tight haven't had any issues since I adjusted the auto feed properly

Hey man. Great review. I’m looking into getting a brand new chipper. 15in with winch and a couple other bells and whistles but I have a buddy that has this exact chipper for sale with under 50 hours. I’ve tried doing some digging online and can’t seem to find a price on these things. Would you be able to give me a ballpark on the value of one of these used? Either heavily used like yours or lightly like the one my buddies got.

Heavily used like mine???!! Lol mines just a baby still for a bandit chipper I wouldn't even consider anything under 1000 hours heavily used these machines are built to last a LONG time a lot of bandits at my dealer in for maintance have over 4 5 6 thousand hours , depending where you are you can get a 12xpc for anywhere between 38k-44k it's all dependent on what's it's options and the dealer , 50 hours full price still, mine with 450 hours id sell for 35k

@@dethklok129asdasdasd honestly this a mean 12 if your worried about the 12 being small get it , it bites more than it barks lol, but if your looking at a 15 I'd say skip the 15 and go 18, the 15 isn't much better than this 12 they'll both chup the same branches just a little less cutting with the 15 , ,and if you have a miniskid screw the winch, very rare we ever used the winch on the bandit 15 I tried for a few weeks
