When you were talking about the belts just to let you know all bandit drum chippers do that it’s when a large log is going through and instead of chipping it pulls off slabs and they struggle to go through the gap of the drum which makes a screech noise it’s not the belts just letting you know. Great video btw I like the excavator setup and choice of chipper

Ms. Piggy sure was hungry. She did a great job eating the big tree.

Nice. So much easier on your body and safer. I know they're safe machines if used properly but that extra degree of distance makes it even safer

That chipper does a good job, it definitely chips a big log, saves alot of work too, better chipping that stuff up than piling it all up at the woodline, thanks for sharing Tim. 🌲💪🇺🇸

All I see is all that firewood that would heat my house for a winter... But, I understand your job and if the owner of that wood just wants it gone... You are there to make it happen! My little Craftsman 10hp chipper would not even do the branches of those trees! ha, ha! Keep on keeping on!

I can see the evolution of your technique being adapted for the equipment with the slash-cut on the logs so they start in the chipper without the second operator to open the feed wheels.

I see a york rake or landscape rake modifications that pins onto your grapple to sweep up the smaller limbs, maybe even add rubber a horse mat, rubber belting or a rubber cutting edge from a snow plow to act as a turf saver

The Branch Manager grab rake is the tool for the job. I have one and it save hours of manual raking!

Cotontop Just curious if your keeping track of how many gallons of fuel your burning in the wood chipper because as it’s an off road machine you can get all the fuel taxes you pay for every time you fuel up. I made this to a friend in the construction business he owns and operates several pieces of heavy equipment up to a Cat D8. He thought I was giving him a hard time until I went over how much fuel he used off rad and was shocked at how much it came to annually. He was able to buy a new F-150 for his wife. You can collect the taxes from the state and the feds when you file for all the fuel you use in your work. The only fuel that is taxable is the fuel ( gas or diesel ) you use on the highway. Check into it please if your not already doing so. It will increase your bottom line if you haven’t been doing so.. Food for thought
