MEET Bandit - the 130lb ‘Merle King’. Bandit is a two-year-old Great Dane Bandog Mastiff Mix. His striking looks attract attention when he’s out on a walk with his owners Martin, 32 and Lisa Lewis, 36, of Brigg, UK. The couple got Bandit when he was one-year-old and decided to train him in protection and have been delighted with his progress. However, he is also able to switch off work and be a family companion to their sons Reece, 14 and Logan Foley, 10. The couple refer to Bandit as a bandog due to him being a working type Mastiff who will protect his family ‘fiercely’ and hope to breed him in the future under their kennel name Berserker Bandogs.

Great Dane Cane Corso mix. Beautiful dog. My Cane Corso weighed 136lbs.he was a natural protector and great family dog. We had to put him down at age8 as he had cancer which matastized and he could no longer walk . Miss him every day. I now have a male 3 yr old Boerboel I got at age 14 weeks. He weighs 176lbs now and is a great natural protector and damily dog.

Nice hack job on the ears and since Mastiff and Great Dane have pretty short life spans and are often somewhat fragile is it really worth it to put so much into one? Watching him move along the fence he already appears to have a little hitch to his giddy up. Pretty dog but would probably been happier being a well trained, socialized couch potato

You obviously know nothing about dog's. Would rather be a couch potato? Both breed of dog are work dog's. Meaning they love having a job and staying active. He will rest when he is in his elder years. Playing and working is when they are at their happiest. Make a dog fat and lazy like humans 🤦‍♂️

He's an incredible dog and well trained. I understand why you dock the tail as that can be very destructive and painful if you are hit while he's wagging it although I always prefer to keep the tail. I agree that ears should be kept natural.

I don't write comments but I feel compelled to on this occasion. The poor dog in this video has been mutilated by having its ears cropped. It is illegal in the UK . Why would anyone do that? Even if you didn't actually cut them yourself just buying a puppy with cropped ears promotes the illegal activity and keeps it going. How were its ears cut? I would like you to answer that in a subsequent video please? Not that there is any justification for doing this to any hound. Would you take a new born baby human and cut its ears off because one day they might be in a fight when they are older and someone might injure their ears? No of course you wouldn't but you would do it or let it be done to a pup. I am sure there are lots of videos on KZbin that can show you just how barbarous and disgusting and cruel and unnecessary the whole despicable practice is, you should please try to watch some to educate yourself. Why breed a dog like that other than for humans to use it? Great Danes suffer from heart problems. You aren't supposed to let a dane get too heavy or over exercise because it puts pressure on their hearts but you have crossed it with a very heavy animal. This poor hound could end up crippled with an enlarged heart. It may also develop arthritis because its too heavy for its frame. If two hounds got together in the street and the end result was this one then so be it, accidents can always happen but to purposefully create him, seems very unfair to him. You are going to use him to protect humans but I'm sorry but from what I have seen you have not protected him at all. I am disgusted and ashamed to be the same species as someone that would treat an animal like this. Poor hound.

It's a shame U have to use dogs for "protection " , U mutilated his anatomy, and U train him to go after any strangers, dogs are not beasts of burden..maybe if U and Ur wife wld drop a ton each U cld protect Ur family like a man instead of training a dog to do Ur job...
