You are not insane. Kanami's (the lead g) compositions do that to people. Even with their hard-hitting rock songs, she always composes them on her piano and uses many of the beautiful chord progressions that evoke underlying sense of yearnings and hope. Even stripped down, their songs can be immensely beautiful if played as acoustic version. And Miku's lyrics are very much thinking person's words, very deep and philosophical. Additionally, this song was used as the theme song for an anime Platinum End which is a story about angels and people who are fighting to become God. (Stay strong!)

Hyperbole. She is not even the best Japanese female bassist. Try Juna Serita. Serina (TRiDENT), Haraguchi (Nemophila), Ainyan (Silent Siren), Mina (Girlfriend), F-Chopper Koga (Gacharic Spin), Miho (ex-Lovebites), Haru (Bridear) are easily Misa's equals if not her betters.
@c2sora9193 жыл бұрын
@@johnp.johnson1541 how do you define 'best' lol. In terms of technical skill, there's a cap to it unless you're playing math/prog rock or classical in which none of the members you listed would be on. In terms of tone? how they play live? composition? how can you tell who's better if they're all playing their own original songs, with different roles as a bassist. Misa is an amazing musician and let people complement her without having to compare her with others, especially when there's no definitive way to measure who's better.

@@johnp.johnson1541 sry i was unclear, I meant by what means do you assume that the bassists you listed are better than Misa?
The Band-Maid live show at Tokyo Garden Theater has just ended. I met a lot of great people from around the world. A few from the US, one guy from the UK, one from Australia, and a few more. I had the time of my life watching Band-Maid live for the first time, but definitively not the last. I will spend all my spare time and money travelling to where they may play, not all shows but a few select shows every year. In my view, Band-Maid are the greatest hardrock band of all times, and I stick with that. Kanami had me shed some tears from her wonderful playing. Miku had me shed some tears for the fact that she founded this amazing band, and the fact that she is an amazing guitar player, singer, and performer. MISA is beyond comparison, there is no one playing the bass like her. Akane is a beast on the drums keeping a great rythm going. And Saiki’s voice was as good as it ever gets, I hold her as the greatest singer in hard rock history. I’ll be back for more Band-Maid as soon as I possibly can, I really hope they will come to Europe this year. Greetings from Ariake Garden, Tokyo. Other than that, greetings from Norway. EDIT: I won the lottery for Band-Maid at Zepp Shinjuku on July 3rd, I'm going back to see them live again this summer, I'm so happy PO
